My fiancé and I would like to purchase a different home. Last year we bought a house for $75000, we put $10000 down and pay a monthly mortgage. We found a new home we like much better that costs $210000. We have a property that we own free and clear appraised at $60000. I am a student with a part time job and make about $900/month, and am lucky enough to not have to pay for my schooling. My fiancé is a police officer and he makes about $3000/month. We have about $900/month of other monthly debts like car payments and what not. Just wondering if we should even bother going to a bank or not. We may have someone who would cosign with us as well.
