Im buying my first house and all of the mortgage has been accepted and set up with the bank and first payment is due on 16th of this month. All the property searches have been paid for and the solicitors have been fully paid. We got sent a contract in the post last tuesday and took it back the same day and solicitor told us this tuesday we can go to EA and pick up the key. But later that day last week i got a call from solicitor who said the EA didnt put a public notice out so they have to do that for a week and there is a chance someone can put in a higher offer but surely its still ours no matter what because we signed a contract? The house is a reposesed by the way so its being sold by the bank. Thanks for any help
