Me & my partner have had an offer accepted on a house, bargain-great deal! We have a Mortgage Advisor (supposedly)doing all work for us, she said once we find a house-offer-accepted, let her know & she'll get the AIP etc sorted. So we phoned her Weds, when the offer was accepted. We are meeting with the estate agents tomorrow as they want to see our agreement in principle, we were depending on our advisor to get it done, she said she would, although it is a bit trickier with my defaults… She's come back to me TODAY saying it won't be done now, it will get done next week. It's a no chain house, and the sellers are absolutely desperate to sell it, they have the solicitors etc all ready to go.
My partners credit score is perfect, mine is under average, I have 2 defaults from 1/2 years ago. Paid off. We have a friend who works in a bank and he said due to our large deposit and the fact his credit rating is amazing, the defaults should be overlooked. However the advisor we are using seems to think different. We have chosen this particular company as my partners family have used them for years and recommended them. She is making our like 2 defaults is a massive problem, one of my friends has said she is just 'ducking' our case as it's a bit more complicated and she will actually have to work for it, and it's not easy commission.
How likely are we to be approved? My Dad has recently been approved & he has 2 CCJS?! Is it just because she's lazy & cant be bothered? Thank you!
