I am 32 years old, have a 15 year loan at 2.99 APR. Currently owe $95,000 and have enough to pay off the home now. I really like the idea of having no mortgage payment and living dept free. One more thing is I plan on selling this home and moving into a smaller home in the next couple of years. So am I better off paying off this home now or investing the extra money.
