My landlord is living in an RV in the back yard and keeps letting himself in unannounced is that illegal?

he is living in the back yard. Connected to our electricity our water and using our internet. He keeps harassing us to pay rent in advance due to his mortgage debt. Our lease states that we would get our 3rd month free if we did some cosmetic work to the house "which does have mold and now we know a bad roach infestation" and now that the third month is coming he is trying to back out of the deal. How much of this is illegal and does anyone know what can be done
