How much home can I get approved for on a $30,000 salary?

I'm a single male, full time Firefighter in Texas on a 30k/year salary (because of overtime, i have never made less than 32k). My take home is, give or take, 1700/month. I have never rented or owned before, I lived in my Parent's place since they moved out, but since they recently moved back, I want my privacy. Now as for credit, I'm OK. I've never been late on a payment and I have a somewhat long history, but I do have 7k in credit card debt which is 97 percent usage… I know it's alot, but please keep reading, lol. My plan right now is to use my income and saved money to knock my credit card usage to less than 50percent (30 if possible), I'm also about to finish a $4k personal loan which will free up 200/month in bills. By the time I apply to buy a home, I will be paying $410/month on my vehicle (I owe 11k from 25k), about $200 in credit cards, and that's it. I will keep that trend for about 6 months before looking to apply. My insurance and phone bills are under my Dads name, since we do Family bundles, and although I pay my part, it's still not under my name. Have been on workers comp since January on a knee injury, but as soon as I get back I will be starting a part time job as an EMT too, don't know if that helps, lol. Any advice and answers are appreciated!
