How do mortgage companies know who your related to for construction loans?

I'm purchasing a house that needs rewired and and I have a cousin who is an electrician, but the loan states none of the work can be done by family. We have different last names and I'm wondering how they would find out if were related. Any way I can save a dime is going to be helpful in this because its a 4,000 sqft house!
