What is it like in Los Angeles?

I've been extremely interested in Los Angeles throughout this year and would like to go there really badly.

The things I'm wondering about are:
- weather
- the people
- things to do
- a good place to live or not
- good things and bad things
- places in LA
- any additional information about LA
