Problem with getting mortgage deed?

My mortgage provider - halifax got my partners middle name wrong on the mortgage deed when they issued it originally, they have now taken longer than 3 weeks to sort the problem and the buyer has decided to relist the property, I have been on to the mortgage advisor, but he is adament nothing more can be done to speed things up if I lose the house can I claim compensation as effectively it will be halifaxs fault.
