My dad helped my hubby and me buy a house by providing us with a 50k deposit towards the mortgage. My dad is now having the house redecorated and refurbished for us.
Problem is a few days ago i had a serious row with my husband over his parents being very rude to me. His mum dad live in pakistan and they really don't like me.
We both are staying at an apartment my dad owns and we aren't paying my dad any thing to be here, until the house is all newly decorated and ready.
I was very upset because my husband can't even stand up for me when it comes to his parents, in our culture his mum dad had more responsibility over caring about me and him than my parents do. They never came to our wedding stayed in pakistan instead and were crying upset about it over the phone to my husband through out the entire wedding day. They never ever say any thing nice about me to my husband and they never ever got me a single nice gift or present. Ever.
My dad spoke to my husband and told him that i was simply upset because they way his dad and mum spoke to me was wrong; and my dad explained that i was right for feeling upset about it. My dad expects better from my husband but this has been the only on going major issues in our marriage over 4 years now.
My dad doesn't want to argue or scold my husband at all. He explained that he prefers my husband finds him very approachable. My dad was also very hurt about something so little becoming such a big issue because my husband doesn't care that
