Hello there. I am a student, and I have saved up all the money that I could while being a student because real estate in the city where I go to university is very inexpensive, and I could purchase a triplex with a mortgage lower than my current rent.
The issue that I am now running into however is the cost of the real estate lawyer. On a property that is $84000 CAD, most all of the real estate l lawyers I have spoken to are quoting me at around $2000 CAD. That seems high to me.
Is there a way to do this for less money as a low income resident of Ontario? I was not expecting an extra cost of this size. Any advice would be highly appreciated.
