We had been in our property for 1 year and the landlord asked us to sign a new tenancy agreement because they wanted to get another mortgage.
We duly signed but we are now in a position to buy our own home. Something we didn't foresee when we signed
The landlord said that they would instruct an agent but we would have to pay the fee's if we left as well as other numerous costs (one's they would had to pay if we had left 2 months prior). We said weren't happy about that be we would to get us out.
We asked to rent the property out on their behalf to save the fees and they agreed but it had to be before a cut off date or else we had to stay till the tenancy runs out which is in 10 months
The agreement was for either professionals or a young family. We found young families but then they changed their mind and only wanted professionals.
Is there any way for us to get out of the tenancy agreement. People have said to just leave but I have a conscious and could never do that. It is the second agreement we had to sign when we should have just had a periodic tenancy after the first year. I know we signed a contract but we have always been good tenants which in some way is the reason they are making it difficult for us to leave
Is there a way for me to get out of the tenancy agreement as we had already signed one in the first place.
