I have fallen out with my family, my mum has thrown me out. I'm 22 years old. I'm living with my partner at the moment and we're in the process of doing up our own house that we have a joint mortgage on. I have no desire to make up with my family, I don't feel I've done wrong. The only thing I care about is my dogs.
I've tried asking if I can see them but my mum has told me no. I don't know what to do. I'd give anything to have them living with us in our new house but I know my parents would never give them up. I didn't buy the dogs but I'm the only person who ever walks them - I walk them about 4 times a week. No one from my family has walked them besides me in at least a year. I'm the only person who takes them to the vet and I have paid their vet bills entirely on my own for the last two years. I'm the only one who buys them toys and treats and the only one who is always there for them. My dad works away sometimes and my mum is over her friends in the night and doesn't think twice of leaving them in the dark for hours on end. Do I have any rights? I just want to give them a better life. Please someone help.
