My husband and i are newlyweds. No children yet. I currently save 300 a month towards retirement in a Roth. He saves 1000 a month in a Roth and 403b. I currently have 6k in retirement, he has a little over 30k. We have a combined income of 104k gross. I am 27. He is 33. Whenwe have a child in the next 5 years, it will go down but we will still try to save as much as we can. I will still work when we have a child, but i will work less, hoping for 25 hours a week, bringing our total income down about 15k.
We have no debt except a mortgage and there is only 25k left. We will be paid off in 1.5 years.
