I hope to be approved for a mortgage to move house any day, I have been very careful not to apply for any credit for the past two years so I have a good credit rating for this application. However, it would be really helpful to borrow 10K over 5 years once this application has been accepted (moving costs so much). I could afford the repayments. Will I be unlikely to get a loan after the mortgage credit checks? Is there any chance the mortgage company might suddenly require an additional credit check after my mortgage has been approved, meaning that the loan application jeopardises my mortgage approval? Any help would be so appreciated.
