Please give me and advice Rent VS Income?

Hello, I Just got married and me and my wife is living in one bed room +den condo which costs 1600/month.

Me and my wife's annual income is around 85k after-tax.

I was thinking of getting a mortgage and buying a condo however, I wanted to hold on and start with renting for about two years.

Am I doing it right?
Is rental vs income ratio healthy?
Is buying a house really worth at this point?

Please give me your expert opinion.
We are 30 and 28 years old.
