What happens to all the money I put into a home if I sell it or move (down payment, mortages,etc)?

Say I buy a 100K home and put 20k for a down payment… And after 5 years of mortgage payments I decide to sell the place for 100k… What happens to the 20k I put into it as well as the 5 years of mortgage…
