Durning 2013 in CA I helped my mother and brothers out a lot due to my mother applying for her permanent disability after dealing with cancer. I paid about 1600 in bill every month for about 7 months and wondering if I would be able to write any off that help off or do anything to get a tax break. Due to me having to pick up her bill I went tax exempt for 6 months. Currently I am 25 made 45k last year and think I hit the 30% plus tax bracket. Any advice would help. Also do not have any kids and have a property under my name but not the mortgage. No spouse either
