On one of the collection account that I have is for $2600 for an apartment I had about 5 years ago and I got evicted. Young n stupid! So me n my husband want to try and buy a home now that we are older wiser and financially more prepared. I read that in order to qualify for a mortgage you can't have anything in collections over $1000 so I really need to take care of this. I was planning on PFD but I saw on my credit report that on this account on the comments section "consumer disputes this account information" but I've never disputed this account. What can I do about this? Can I possibly have this account removed because of this error?
