Young wild rabbit with head tilt?
Hi, so four days ago my cat brought home a present. A month old wild bunny. Couldnt have been out of the nest long. The cat didnt seem to do much damage at first. Its right eye had a redish discharge, like blood, though I never found any punctures. There is no punctures anywhere on the rabbit and its calmed down for the most part. But it tilts to its right side and its right front arm does not seem to be supporting its weight. At first i thought it might be broken, but now I dont think so. The leg moves fine, just not as it should. I cant feel any breaks and its not dislocated. Now the rabbits right eye has been having clear discharge, much like an eye infection which has been getting better with eye drops. But its head tilt only seems to be getting worse. It cant stand, only spin in circles and cant eat or drink on its own. Ive read up on this and quickly found out its a hugely expensive thing to treat. I really dont have the money for it and the rescues here dont either. If I take it anywhere it will be put down. Im beginning to think thats the right choice for it, but before I do that, does anyone have any suggesting on how long I should wait or anything I can try giving it to help? Again, please dont tell me to take it to a vet, I really dont have enough money in my account to cover the bill and Im already two months behind on my mortgage. Im willing to keep feeding it and treating it with things I can afford, which isnt much. Any ideas?
