Does anyone else find high school to be the worst four years of their life?

sure many of us look back at them with rosy glasses and are like man high school was great. First kiss, going to prom with a beautiful girl, having a number of friends, no bills to pay, no taxes to fill out, no mortgages, etc.

Just study and make friends and maybe do some chores around the house. When we simplify like that, it's no wonder we think it was the four carefree years.

but what if we looked at the other side of it?

The SAT's. Applying to colleges. Trying to get straight A's so that you can dream of going to harvard or at least college. Trying to pile up your resume with as many extracurriculars and awards as you could while having 5 hours of sleep a night. All this while trying to be as sheep-like as possible to fit in with your peers even if they did some laughably stupid things(drive recklessly, do drugs, binge drink, spray graffiti, etc) and you felt left out if you didnt.

I realize everyone'e experience was different so this might not be everyone's experience. But maybe some of these things do ring a bell.
