I am in the process of buying a house. However, the inspector who has to approve of the home before I close on it, has reported that the floor furnace needs to be taken out of the house and that it is a hazard. FHA loan inspectors don't have a problem with this, but for me to get additional help, this ONE inspector has to approve. And he said I should find another house.
My question is, how much would it cost to remove the floor furnace and replace it with central heat? The house already has center air, so would this be an add on to that or completely different process?
