I bought my house for 152K in 2007 and lived in it for 5 years. Its now worth between 33K-70K (depending on the source) with drug dealers now less than 50 yards away. My renter moved out 6 months ago (thanks to a break-in in June and her car being stolen from the carport in August). I have been unable to find another renter even though my rent is far below what other homes rent for. My other neighbor had his dog stolen and another had his copper pipes stolen.
I currently live in Japan and have no plans of moving back to that house.
Thoughts? Advice?
