I'm thinking of applying for a credit card just to build my credit up a little. I'm going into my sophomore year of college and I have bad credit. Its only bad because its new and the only thing I have on it is my student loans.
Anyway, I wanted the credit card to maybe boost my score because I'm hoping my credit union will approve me for a small loan ( like $3000) to buy a used car. I really need one for commuting to work and school. I have a job and I've been with the credit union for a couple of years and I'll most likely have a co-signer. So the only reason they would deny me is because I barely have credit.
So is this a good idea or not?
