This April, I submitted my Virginia income tax return for the tax year 2013. Today I get a letter saying "Missing documentation", that I need to supply a Schedule ADJ.
I read it and I don't understand why I need to have it. I don't have stocks, mortgages, kids, disabilities. I just earned $ from doing my regular job and there's really nothing else to report…
Wait, except, in 2013 I did earn $50 from Discover, basically I opened a checking account and they gave me a bonus $50. They said the $50 is taxable and I remember receiving some letter saying that the $50 was reported as interest or something? I did include the $50 in my main Virginia tax return Form 760. Am I supposed to put the $50 in Schedule ADJ?
