A friend of mine asked me about a phone call he got where some foreigner called saying that "His client was filing a law suit against him and his social security number". The call came from an unknown number. I told him that I assumed it was a fraud since he said they had a foreign accent and no caller ID information and said i would ask. So is it possible for someone to file a law suit against his social security number? The only debt he has is his mortgage and it is supposedly up to date.
