My sister in law is getting married. Honestly her fiancé & her have a ton of growing up to do. He's 30 & still lives at home with his parents, she has moved in & they both just started working full time jobs (first ever full time job) 2 months ago. They are both temps so chances of them keeping the job is slim. Neither have cars he borrows his moms pays for gas used. They pay no rent. No food etc.
She sent me the flower girl dress she likes for my daughter to wear & it's $179.99 plus there is a $25 order charge. My daughter will be 3 for her wedding. Also she wants her to have $30 shoes plus getting her hair done. My husband is walking his sister down the isle so his tux is over $300 to rent. It's over 2 hrs away drive so we will be renting a hotel room. At the time of the wedding we will have an 11 month old also.
Holy cow! We are going to have an easy $1000 in this wedding.
How do I talk to her about money when she acts like we should be rich? She forgets normal people have mortgages, car payments, utilitys, etc… She has nothing.
