I had a general question regarding army housing. Is it against policy for an active duty member to lease their private home that is in close proximity of their duty station (less then an hour drive) at the same time they are living on base?
My fiancée's ex-husband refuses to refinance the home they had purchased to remove her name from the mortgage. He is active reserve and managed to acquire on base housing while leasing the home to a tenant. I'm a veteran but did not own a house at the time I served, but this situation seems like it would break some housing policies.
