I'm getting really confused with all this data input.
Me and my girlfriend are expecting our first baby on December 20th.
We both work full time (her wage:£21,000 mine £15,000 )
We both own our home, mortgaged.
She gets 6 weeks work maternity pay, then it's £137 pw.
Currently we get no benefits, and are 26 years old
Is there ANYONE in a similar situation who can give me a guide as to what benefits we will get, the problem is all the calculators are based on now, and I wanna know what the situation will be BEFORE it hits the fan, but there's no preparation calculator.
I'm mainly taking working tax credits, child tax credits etc. Basic maternity pay and child benefit we are aware of, but it really is so complex! Just after some similar scenario advice.
