Anyone with personal experience getting a mortgage 2 years post-bankruptcy?

Hello. I know the process of obtaining a loan and have researched the waiting periods of obtaining a loan after bankruptcy. I'm wondering if anyone has personal experience going through the home buying process 2 years after bankruptcy and how did it go for you? I'm hoping to get a va loan through a local bank… My discharge date is 7/30/13.
