Is this a good, strong paragraph?


In in 6th grade and writing a paragraph about the Great Depression, can you tell me if I missed anything or should add anything?

"How did the Great Depression affect American Families?"

The Great Depression affected millions of people all over the USA, from the stock market crashing, to unemployment, and becoming homeless.

STOCK MARKET CRASHING

In 1929, summer time, the American economy entered an unremarkable recession, people stopped spending and stock prices continued to rise. In document A, paragraph 2 the text states "On October 24, 1929, the stock market bubble finally burst, as investors began dumping shares en masse."

UNEMPLOYMENT

Millions of people were unemployed and the ones who weren't were very scared of being so. In document C, paragraph 1 the text states "Millions were unemployed or dependent on those who were, millions more were afraid of being so."

HOMELESS

During the Great Depression many people didn't have wages and weren't able to afford to pay for rent and Mortgage payments and got thrown out of their houses, causing them to become homeless. In document C, paragraph 2 the text states "Without wages, many people found it impossible to afford rent or mortgage payments, and were thrown out of their homes."

While World War 2 came around people started buying from American producers and finally the Great Depression came into an end at around 1939.
