What mortgage rate lock in time period should I get?

I am looking to buy a single family home in Maryland. The house is 3 beds, 1.5 baths and is 26 years old. Should I get a 30 day, 45 day, or 60 day lock in period? I thought 30 days was enough, but my real estate agent said 60 days is the best to make sure we have enough time.
