Will my credit score be okay after I allowed a mortgage lender to check it?

we thought we wanted to buy a house, and while our credit is pretty good, we have learned a few things, such as - the need of a good down payment so that your mortgage isn't too high.
Also, lots of people just wanting your money out there, so it definitely deserves some good research. At any rate, one checked out credit - a hard inquiry, how much damage to my credit?
