I am currently having problems with my lanlord. The situation is as followed I have payed him 2 months rent in advance for month of may and june, my husbands granma is currently in the hospital i asked him to please return me 500 so my husband can go to his country n see his granma on her last days, he stated that the money i provided him they had already used it to pay the mortgage, should he be using my money if its supposed to be for mays rent and junes? I am upset because i been leasing for him for over a year and i always pay my rent and he never had a problem with us this happened sudden and am req only 500 which i consider an emergency because granma is really sick and on her last days. Now we decided we want to move i am going to provide him today with a 30 day lease but i know he wont return my money until after we move and i would need the money upon moving for my new apartment, what should i do and can he make me wait after moving, the money wasnt giving as a deposite but advance rent.
