Can I get a spouse visa without having a job?

I am a british citizen my fiancé is Ukrainian. We have been together for 3 years. We are planning to get married at the end of the year in Ukraine. We then want to apply for a spouse visa for him. He is a navigational officer on a cruise ship and works at sea between 6-8 months a year. When on leave from the ship i want him to come and leave with me in the Uk. I am not working and he is supporting us with his income. I have my own home in the uk ( mortgage). Do you think he will be granted a spouse visa even though I have no income? I know as the uk citizen I should be the one to be able to support him but he has no intention of working in the uk as he has a very good job and career at sea.
