What is the Florida job market like right now for people like us?

My husband and I are looking to relocate with our 3 kids. (4yo and twin 1yo's) We currently live in southwest Missouri. We're both born and raised here but we have grown very tired of this place. The icy winters are the worst and as the years pass, they seem to linger on into the May months. Last 4th of July we were wearing jackets while watching fireworks! The tornadoes are horrible here. We're always living in fear having our house wiped out (again) We just want someone completely new and different. After a lot of research we have decided we would like to move to Florida (Melbourne, Palm Bay area) But what is the job market there like? I only work in retail, have previous QA experience in a manufacturing plant, food service and customer service, and a GED but no college (I married young, bad education choices, stupid I know) and hubby works full time as a Maintenance Technician at a food manufacturing plant. He's a high school graduate, has some vocational school under his belt, but that's about it. What's the verdict for a family like us? We're hard workers and we provide well for our kids but we just want a new start somewhere different. Somewhere where it's warmer, somewhere where there's great things for our kids to do!

By the way, if it matters at all, our current home is completely paid off. Our goal would be to sell this one, and buy another home outright so we could continue to be mortgage free. Price range home-wise is about $100-130,000)
