I own a duplex on a single title with my ex. We both pay the mortgage for this property. It consists of two units side by side on a single property. I live in one unit and my ex use to live in the other until he has moved out and started renting it out. I have asked my ex to strata title the property so I can split the title and therefore get my own unit and have my own mortgage however he refuses. I have been trying to do this for seven years! I can not sell my unit as I have put too much money into it and it is my home and I don't want to move. What can I do? I am unhappy with him not agreeing to split the title/mortgage and now he is renting it out. Please help. I have no idea what to do:-(
