Mortgage after ch 7 bankruptcy… What was your experience?

Two years ago my ch 7 bankruptcy was discharged. I am now looking for a home loan. My husband is VA eligible. I am not sure where to start looking for a lender. I'm wondering what your experience was and which lenders might be willing to approve a mortgage loan to me. Since the bankruptcy I have worked on my credit so it's improved dramatically. Thanks for your help.
