I have worked at Lidl for over 3yrs now but a couple of years ago I kept making mistakes on my till meaning the till would frequenly be up or down sometimes up to £20. This happened because I would be doing 11hr shifts spending 10hrs after breaks solidly on the till making 400 transactions taking £8000. There was pressure to serve customers quickly and you only need to lose concentration once to give the wrong change. Lidl have a policy of you till is only allowed to have a difference of £1. Somtimes my till was only £4 wrong but this led to disciplinary preceding. I got my first written warning and I didnt know what I was doing wrong. If I kept making mistakes this would have lead to my dismissal. Just wondering if this happens again, will I be entitled to claim JSA. I have a small mortgage to pay and with job seekers allowance I will be 6.25 short so I would have to live off my savings. At the moment everything is going fine at work and they are giving me shorter shifts
