Which appraisal will my mortgage company use?

We're in the process of buying a house. We paid for an appraisal and it came in MUCH lower than the asking price. We sort of figured it would. The seller's listing agent told us she told the sellers to come down in their asking price, but they didn't. We're trying to purchase the house using a grant program so there's no wiggle room for "paying extra" towards the price the seller originally wanted ($17,000 more). The sellers decided they want to do a second appraisal. Which appraisal will my mortgage company use in order to provide me with a loan?

What's the deal with Monster Loans' FHA cash out refinance program?

I got a letter from Monster Loans offering to refi my FHA loan with additional cash to pay off credit cards and whatnot, all at lower monthly payment than I'm currently at. Is this legit? I have good credit, so if this would go on my reports as a "consolidation loan," I'm not interested. So if anyone could give me the skinny here, it'd be greatly appreciated!

Offer accepted on a house and the almost dream house has appeared on the market?

I'm going to get some abuse for this but we're caught between a rock and a hard place and can't decide.

About a month ago we had a offer accepted on a house not ftb but we currently are in rental accommodation so no chain. The house we found was smaller than we were originally looking for at outside our boundary search area due to the kids school but we liked the house more the move in condition has most that we would need, bad parts our rental is a lot bigger and we have been here for 3 years. And our furniture fits this house not the next one so to move in we have to sell most of it.
Today we were visiting a friend's house, 2 streets away a turning we would have no need to drive by a house had a board outside. Stupidly enough we have looked the house is in budget needs decoration to our tastes but more important is a lot bigger so better long term, plus furniture fits in on a much quieter road in a better area walking distance in minutes to the schools.
We're only able to buy due to a inheritance and so this needs to be right. Mortgage is agreed and we have already had a valuation survey and survey done on original house.
This new house is with the same estate agents so they will know immediately. I feel awful on the vendor the house is a ex rental so there's no chain to upset. But should we look or leave alone this is the biggest purchase of our lives so had to be right. Incredibly stuck. Any advice greatly received

How much house can I really afford?

Take home is about 3800 after taxes. No car payment, no debt. But I'm looking at a 210,000 house for about roughly 1400 a month. Energy efficient home so utilities are about 100-200 and I have phone bills, water, cable, etc.

How much after all my bills and mortgage payment should I have left over in money? Is 400$ reasonable? I have about7k in savings and plan on saving more before I move. Any info is appreciated. Thanks!

What are our options in lowering our mortgage and gaining financial freedom?

Back in 2008, we decided to overextend ourselves by building a house on a 3/4 acre land. Our mortgage/utility bills, one auto pymt, takes most of my husband's paychecks from his two jobs. I work part-time. We have a 20 year old son in college and a 9 year old son. What are some options out there jf we were to move into a smaller place? My husband says we won't find anything significantly lower than our current mortgage (we got a special rate). It would be nowhere close to the size of where we're right now. Our house is 4.500 sq feet. Right now, we're paying $3600 plus property tax, totaling a little under $5k. Here in Calif., house are so expensive that our home's value is a deal than anywhere out there. We're renting out the basement studio so that helps but we still live paycheck to paycheck. The perimeter fence of the property is not done and we have dirt for our backyard. The property has gained about $350,000 in equity since 2008. What do you think?

Does it make sense to do a home style mortgage?

House is older. We're getting it for less than asking and can't ask owners to replace these things. Roof is approaching 30 years. It isn't leaking YET but there's evidence of sagging, loose shingles, etc. Lifespan is over. HVAC is old. Scary looking, but works.

Added (1). Financing now could bring peace of mind on these large ticket items. On the other hand, the monthly payment will be more than anticipated and a higher down payment. We could wait on these items. We could possibly pay for one or the other out of pocket AFTER closing and then hope the other one lasts a while. Financing after the fact will probably cost more.

Added (2). The reason I'm asking is that a person owning property near me says that they have a utility easement through my basement and it is recorded on the deed. Their sewer and water lines (including the "shut off") do run through my basement. I never saw a deed and what was on it when I bought the property. Was told to get a certified copy to see if easement is really there!

First time home buyer, a few?s?

Hi. I'm having no luck even getting the time of day from about a dozen real estate agents I have called from Zillow listings. Either no one answers and I leave my name and number in a voicemail, never to be called back, or someone answers and says they will call me back in an hour or two but never does. Are my calls being screened because I'm from a different but nearby area code? Am I unlucky so far and RE agents are typically very busy but not this much? Am I low priority because I'm interested in small, cheaper homes than average for the area? Are RE agents overworked like my old insurance agent whom I dropped because they said they were too busy to do business by phone and then took a week to respond to emails? I have talked to the VP of mortgages at my local bank branch and I have been preapproved for a loan, but if this is going to be like walking into a Ferrari dealer wearing faded overalls and a blue collar shirt, I have better uses for my time than wasting it.

I tried to make a SS account to request a new SS card to do so they ask you personal questions. I was told that my credit line or something like that was used to take out a mortgage and a car loan, two things I have never done now my account is locked and I have no idea what to do. Advice on 51 single parent looking to buy house for first time but struggling?

I'm 18 and live with my mum who's 51, she is a single parent. We currently live in a 2 bedroom house which is paid for by my dad but since they are split up it's always under he's control and always threatens not to pay the mortgage, so she wants her own place. When the house sells she will only get like 100k from it. She is a first time buyer but all what she can afford is like £160k and most houses like that are an absolute mess. My parents retired and are selling their house and want to travel all over the states in a motor home. They bought their rv and don't know where or how to register it. My parents are looking into buying my Grandparents house. My Grandfather passed away 5 years ago from lung cancer. My Grandmother passed away 2 weeks ago, mainly due to old age. I know we need a lot of work done to the house. They were the original owners, who bought the house around 35 years ago. However due to a reverse mortgage, we can't keep the house unless we buy it. Will telling the inspector about the two deaths lower the value at all? We're trying to get it as low as possible.

Bank Teller paid off a credit card bill instead of a home mortgage that is now over due by one month what do i do?

My aunt recently found out that a bank teller that helped pay her monthly mortgage in person apparently actually payed her credit card bill off instead?! She received a letter with a over due mortgage bill… Its friday night all the bank hours are closed and no one really knows what to do. This is super terrifying because it has been an extremely tough 5 years for her financially and she has been fighting to make ends meet! I'm 21 years old, no kids and I have my own place along with my own car. I currently work for a mortgage company and I'm currently in school for nursing but am still undecided. I don't have any degrees or certificates yet because I've been trying to decide what I want to do and after I got out of high school I didn't go straight to college. I just lost my home to foreclosure, it sold at auction. It's in South Orange County California.
The way my mortgage was set up was my taxes we included in my monthly mortgage payments. So the mortgage company always paid them, even when I got laid off from work & stopped paying my mortgage. Now it's sold at auction & I want to know since there was no tax lien on the house, who will pay the taxes? Or should I say pay back the mortgage co. For those taxes? Someone at the mortgage co. I've applied for a used car loan at a credit union I've done business with since 1990. The loan amount is $8,000 more than the underwriter approved me for. I've had a previous car loan that is paid off, and I currently have a car loan, all with the same credit union, and all in good standing. There's no mortgage on my house, no major outstanding bills, and I have good credit. The reason I was given for not qualifying for a higher amount according to the underwriter was that the loan amount I'm applying for is too significant compared to the previous loans.

Who gets the family home?

my father lives in his family home after my grandmother past around 2005. She had a mortgage, he pays the mortgage but still in her name. I have two uncles one aunt my aunt past away shortly before my grandmother i'm not sure what happen as my mother has had me my whole life in another state. But has let me visit my father whenever i asked. But my two uncles one lives in another state half way across the country. My other uncle is in the same state as my father but is in and out of jail and has tried injurying my father. Here i thought my fathers name was on the house paperwork. Come to find out that my fathers paying my grandmothers mortgage in her name still to the day. So for whatever reason he never paid to switch it into his name or paid inheritance or whatever so technically my grandmothers and fathers house is still in her name. How does this work? When he passes does it go to me. Or is it going to be held from me because he never filed the new paperwork?

What are our rights woth our home?

9 years ago my mother in law helped us by the house. We technically have a mortgage through her although the house is in her name as we were in a lot of debt. We had a tenancy agreement which was only signed once 9 years ago. It is in her will that the house is ours while everyone else gets the equivalent in monetary value.

Since then there has been a massive family dispute and she wants us out of the house.

All the work on the house we have done and paid for. She has charged us interest only which we have always paid.

How do I buy a mobile home in Los Angeles area? Any experiences in mobile home real estate out there?

I have my eye on a mobile home that is about 120,000. My husband and I are alone. I was working but left job about 4 months ago( I'm about to graduate university and classes are getting harder) so for now this is all we can afford. Need information about closing costs in WA State?

I was working with a local lender but was not happy with the interest rate. I found a lender online that has a very good rating but their estimates of fees are different. The one online was unsure what fees the seller had to pay versus buyer in Washington state. I'm trying to compare apples to apples, but its difficult because none of the fee names are the same, I was hoping someone could help me with what the buyer will have to pay.

Should I have to pay my mom to watch my kids? She is using them for a paycheck

I was adopted and my mom should have NEVER been allowed to adopt (several experts have said this too). She left me with her parents when she worked 2-3 jobs and never once paid my grandparents to watch me. Now, when I'm trying to work full time or even part time, she demands my husband and I turn over our paychecks to her. I made $60 for a few days of work this past week and she wants me to deduct that from my savings and pay her. She paid cash for my house and we pay her the mortgage and she was living off our mortgage money (against the legal agreement that it goes into escrow) and got us in trouble with the tax office for delinquent taxes. She gets a pension and SS check *retired nurse, made great $$* and says "this is not my life" to watch my kids and that my "grandma told her to take my paychecks". Is this right what she is doing? Should I quit my jobs because she is taking all my money? My husband is a truck driver and can't always come home, DUH!
Added (1). We're constantly taking her out to eat (charging thousands on CC) buying her stuff she demands we buy, paying her bills, etc and now she demands our paychecks

Buying a house with a personal loan then refinancing?

So we found a great deal on a place, but it has no kitchen and no furnace so you can't just get a regular mortgage on it. I know you can do like an FHA 203K Rehab but i know those make it hard to DIY the work and have many fees involved. Really i could install the kitchen and furnace in less than 2 months after purchasing. I actually have just about enough cash for the price of the home but that would leave me nothing left for performing the renovations or anything else.

So basically just trying to figure out what the best option would be to save me the most on interest. I really would like to borrow just 30K to take care of everything. Can I get a 30K personal loan, buy the house, do the work then refinance with a mortgage a couple months in for the better rate? Or is there some other good option I'm not aware of? Or maybe there's a way to get a mortgage type loan on a property like this?

Bad relationship with my cousin, and I don't like living with them. I don't know where to start?

I live with my auntie and her children who are older than me. I'm 26-27. I have always grown up with them as I've never had parents (long story) I particularly don't get along with the female, who is 34. She gets very angry and overall doesn't leave a good energy within the home. Even swears and uses derogatory words such as last week when she nearly blew my head off because I turned the power switch off the dishwasher by mistake. I spent half the night crying because I couldn't understand why its okay for people to speak to other like that. I really want to move out and either rent on my own or live with one other person. It doesn't help that we live an hour away and significantly away from anywhere nearby where I can just go and do something besides going to the gym. It's just not a good energy. I have depression/anxiety due to some of the things that happened to me earlier in my life. Other members of my family are happy I'm here and think its the best thing for me, I pay rent but at the same time being out here, I feel trapped. I don't think I could afford my own mortgage although I would do anything to leave I just don't know where to start. I feel overwhelmed and bored as I'm not working much I only have a casual job at a retail store but I'm applying for other work. I'm also recovering from a relationship from over two years ago. All in all I just don't know how to solve all of this, I know what I want but just don't know how to get there.

Does the status of the house change?

i came across a house that is in pre foreclosure for unpaid mortgage. From the looks of things the owner sold the house to a family member a couple of days before the scheduled auction. My question is, is the house still in pre foreclosure?
Added (1). if you want to get nit picky, there was a notice of sale. 2 days before the auction the property was sold. It doesn't look like any money exchanged hands which is why i asked this question

My boyfriend and I are both 24 and We have been together for almost 5 years, but he is starting to drift away. He believes in building a "foundation" outside of the bedroom. Is this considered rent skimming in New York state?

So my landlords bought the house I reside in on Sept 2015… They stopped paying their mortgage payments in December 2016, they rented me the house in March 2017, they still have not paid a single penny of their mortgage to the bank they are continuing to charge us rent which we paid on time every month it is now July 2017 and the house is in forclosure right now… The bank they go through the collections lady told us not to pay them anymore money bc of that they have not paid any mortgage and they illegally rented the house out bc they failed to get permission from the bank… Is this considered rent skimming and can we get our money back from them?

Student loans want my disability benefits?

I have taken out a student loan in 2011. Shortly after I was diagnosed with MS. Because of this I have never been able to work full time, thus not earning enough to pay a single penny back. My MS has recently got worse and I'm now out of work and reviving PIP. A disability benefit. Student loans are demanding to know how much I receive, they also want to know who is supporting me financially now & how much they receive in income. They also want to know details about the mortgage of the house I live in. This house is not mine nor is my name anywhere on it. The contract I signed for this loan was in my name only and it stated it wanted repayments based o taxable income. So why do they need to know these details? They are threatening legal action so I'm very scared and it's making my health even worse. TIA

Why is there the ability to build low cost durable housing, yet they put up a cheap house in a month, and enslave us for our life with mortgage and taxes? Or get stuck paying high rent in a dump under the rule of some, "land lord."

Then when you're in pain, you're only option is to take otc drugs which make you sick, or prescribed medication that makes you more sick.

Eating healthy is a joke, gmo, chemicals in food, fake organic foods in China.

Treat yourself with a plant, cannabis, and now you're a criminal, facing mandatory 5-10 years if you grow in some states.

Can't grow my own food, when you can't afford a place, and if you could afford a place, wouldn't have time because working 50 hrs a week to make ends meet, so then forced to eat "fast food."

Criminals it's business as usual, while the innocent and poor are punished.

I didn't ask to be born into this, this isn't my doing, so what the frig is going on?
