Will I have to pay for property tax?

I just bought a house for the first time in July. I chose to pay my property taxes with my monthly mortgage payment. Here in MN, second half of property tax is due in October.
Since I chose to have my property tax included with my mortgage, will I have to pay the remaining of what's left on the second half this October?
Thank you.

Will changing a land boundaries affect my mortgage?

We currently in the process of buying a house with the help of a relative.

They wish to purchase a piece of land from the bottom of the garden that we want to buy, the money that they are will to pay us for it will give us the deposit we need to buy the house.

Understandably they wish to have a legal document saying that we will gift them the land at some point in the future.

The solicitor have been very unhelpful and have only just stated that this might be a problem a week before completion.

So what we wish to know is what can we do this?
Can we gift this land after the mortgage and house sale is complete without effecting the mortgage?
Any suggestion would be very helpful, as the way it's currently going I could be down £2000 and have no house to show for it.

What to put down as monthly payment for on a car loan application?

I own a home with my life long partner of 13 years and we are both on the mortgage and deed of the home. I am applying for car loans now. I want to know do I put our whole mortgage payment down solely on monthly expenses or do divide it in half. Since he pays 50 percent of everything. I am afraid if I list the whole amounts of everything it will look like I can not afford it. When in reality we both own our home and he really pays for it.
Added (1). This for a car loan, when they ask you what is your monthly debts.

Is it possible to buy a livable house with $10,000?

I want a second home, and I have about $10,000 cash. I do not want to take on a mortgage. So with $10,000 in cash, where can I buy a small house, a place where I can get away from big city sometimes? Any suggestions: 1. What state? 2. Rural or city? Thanks. (If you have a house in this price range and livable, let me know too.)

If I change from 2 part time jobs to one full time, will it better my chances for mortgage?

My fiancé an I went to a mortgage lender 3-4 months ago and he let us know that only the income from ONE of his two part time jobs would be counter towards qualifying for a mortgage, because he just recently acquired his second job (even though he s had his first job for 5 years and they re both in the same field). At his second job he s already been promoted and received a raise and might be willing to just offer full time.

If we want to be able to apply for a mortgage in January 2016, would it be a good idea for him to quit his first job and just have one full time position with his most recent employer? Or will it count as him only having that position for 7months? (It will be 10 months in January). Should he just stay with the two part times until after we buy a home?

Married Men: Do you or your wife handle the finances and spending for your household?

I've been very happily married for over 14 years, we have 6 amazing kids. My husband is a spender and I am a saver. When my husband and I first met, he had some debts, and I had quite a bit of money saved. By following my advice my husband had his debts paid off in less then a year, and he learned how to save.

Since we got married 14 years ago, I've been the one who has handled our finances and spending. We sit down and discuss our monthly budget, wants, needs and other things. I always come up with a reasonable budget, and I stick with that budget. We've also invested our money, and we've had some very nice dividends. Because of my frugal and practical ways, I've managed to save quite a bit over the years. I've kept us out of debt as well. The only "real" debt that we have is our mortgage. We own everything else free and clear.

Halloween prank, could we get away with this?

I just moved into a very large community of townhouse condos so I'm expecting tons of trick or treaters.

I am also having quite a few people over halloween night, like a halloween party/house warming if you will.

So suppose that we got this prank going where I leave open the bedroom window that is right above my front door.

Then every time we get trick or treaters someone goes up there and pours a bottle of beer all over the kids and their parents.

But since the light in that room will be left off, if the parents can see anything at all, it will just be a hand holding a beer and they will never be able to describe/identify the person behind the hand.

Then if the police start getting calls about this and they show up at my house, we all just shrug our shoulders and say "Well gosh, we're sorry about that, but unfortunately we don't know who did it. You see, several people have been up there to use the hall bathroom and quite frankly it could have been anyone. Officer, I had no idea that this was going on in my home right under my nose, and for that I make a thousand apologies."

And what are the cops gonna do? We all have our fingerprints on one beer bottle or another and they can't identify exactly who was behind it.

So is there anything they can do besides say "Well make sure it doesn't happen again" and leave?

PS: No, I cannot be "evicted." These are condos, not apartments. I own my unit, pay a mortgage, not a lease.

Why do news websites have dumb ads?

There's always a block of ridiculously stupid advertisements at the bottom of news articles. They try to look like real news articles, but they are so pandering and stupid I can't imagine enough people actually click and buy that the advertisers make their money back. They say things like "banks hate this new mortgage payoff trick" or "scientists call this fruit the holy grail of weight loss" with a closeup of some obscure fruit looking thing, or "Warren buffett just gave americans a big warning" or "drivers surprised they never knew this rule" with a picture of a cop. Why don't they just advertise their product instead of trying to trick people into thinking they're "ahead of the curve" with ridiculous and obvious fake news ads?

Married Men: Would you be ashamed of being married to a frugal/practical woman, that LOVES to coupon?

I've been very happily married for over 14 years, and we have 6 awesome kids (3 bio & 3 adopted). I am very frugal, very practical, and sometimes a cheapskate. For the last 13 years, I have been an extreme couponer. This helped us especially when our 12 year old g/g/b triplets were newborn.

I often shop at Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Kohls, Big Lots, Dollar Tree, Aldi's, Shaw's and other lower end stores to get the best bargains possible. I can get a months worth of groceries, supplies, and other things for less than $200.00 (which includes meat), and I shop weekly for fresh fruit and vegetables. This is because I'm an extreme couponer.

My husband showed our stockpile to a friend of his, and his friend was shocked. His friend said that he would be embarrassed to have a wife, that "hoarded" everything that we have. When my husband told him how much I spent on everything, than his friend did change his tune a bit. My husband is happy to be married to a very frugal and very practical person.

Would you be ashamed to be married to a woman like me?
Added (1). I should also mention that I donate about 40% of my free purchases to my local homeless veterans organization. I'm a 20 vet of the USN, and I know what it feels like to not have enough to eat. I like giving back to those who don't have the resources that we have. It feels good to know that I'm making a difference in the lives of homeless vets.
Added (2). @ Anonymous, I work full-time as a Registered Dietitian. I retired from the military in 2009, and I'm a 70% disabled vet.
Added (3). @ Robert, I also plan all of the meals, do all of the grocery shopping (with some help from my family), and I pay all of the bills. The only "real" debt that we have is our mortgage. Everything else that we own (material wise) is our 100% free & clear.

I am getting thrown out of my home with my children… Homeless threat?

So myself and my long term partner really wanted to buy a house we were sick of renting and wAnted to make a house a home
We asked a very close family member on his side to help us, he agreed to get the morygage. My partners twin brother. Risky I know but I had been with my partner 20 years and we were stable.
So we paid a 15000 deposit and we have spent about 10,000 pounds renovating the house and have added about 50,000 value to the house

Recently my partner after suffering stress lashed out and hit me he broke my nose and I fell down the stairs broke a leg and also fractured my neck. I had to spend 4 weeks in hospital and instantly ended the relationship and pressed charges

After this his twin brother decides he wants to sell and also is claiming to be my landlord, he wants me out. He is refusing to acknowledge that I paid the deposit and have invested all my money into the house with hope of one day Transferring the mortgage to me.

I had a estate agent push their way in and starting taking photos to sell the house we bought this at 120,000 now it will be sold for 170,000

I am still in recovery I have permanent scarring and sight problems due to the accident. My leg is still suffering nerve damage and is regaining feeling. I currently can't feel it due to a damaged nerve
So my finances are in ruin, I can't afford another House. I am losing my beloved home and I don't know what to do. My children love it here.

Is $60,000 a year a good salary?

Is earning $60,000 a year in Australia enough to live comfortably? I live in Sydney on the north shore (an area considered slightly more expensive to live in) and would like to continue living in this demographic. Would earning $60,000 be enough to live comfortably while living alone. I don't want many luxuries and never really buy anything particularly expensive, so would earning that amount provide a reasonable and comfortable lifestyle?

Should I remove these members of my family completely?

I'm 20 and earn 100 euro a week. I moved out from home one year ago to live with my fiance but our rent increased massively causing us to leave the home we made together, the rent rise was a huge shock and every house we looked for was too far from my fiances work or too expensive. My mother and father then offered for us to live with them for the next 6 months so we can save for a mortgage, we are also getting married in 8 months time. Since moving down my sister who i dnt speak to rang my brother telling him that we are taking over the house and living off my parents. She was trying to rise him because in the will he is granted the house. He rang me and told me that my sister said she was ripping that we were moving into my parents. After coming off the phone from him I text my sister telling her she should mind her own business and stop trying to ruin other peoples lives that this is nothing to do with her. My brother then got abuse from my sister for telling me what she said. My brother than rang me attacking me for telling her and told me he was going to kick me out of the house that my mother and father pay rent for and that i help them pay. He kept shouting at me saying the house was his and as much as i explain that i don't want the house he still possessive over it even though all i am doing is saving. They have sent me nothing but abusive messages and threats and I don't know what to do. I am doing nothing to them. Please help.

Should I drop this FHA/Rural Development foreclosure on a house?

My sister has been paying on a house for about 27yrs. She moved into supportive living and now the house is going into foreclosure. In July, I paid the house payments up so we could move her belongings (she is a hoarder) into her new home and get her possessions out of the house.
I planned to buy her house, so I started the steps including paying for a very expensive certified appraisal, and trying to figure out what I have to do to get the house. Ive been dealing with an office in St. Louis who told me I had to get an appraisal. I also have been dealing with the local office who asked me why I got an appraisal. Now they want me to hire a lawyer. My sister refuses to send a fax to the rural development office so I can get information on her loan. I hired an attorney, but if she will not give a release of information, I am just out of luck, and this seems to be getting more and more expensive. Should I just forget it and let them foreclose on her house?

Is it cheaper and/or easier to live in a boat or a van?

I'm interested driving a semi-truck for a living and I know that over the road truck drivers practically live in their trucks and seldom stay any other place, so I know living in a vehicle can be done. I'm looking into cheap places to live, also for some reason it is easy for me to finance a vehicle, but I can not get a house mortgage due to bad credit, and I don't want to waste money on rent, so I've heard of people living in boats more often than vans, with that being said, is there a reason why?-are boats cheaper, more convenient, is it a "legal thing" or are there more places that boats can park(dock)?-etc.

How to report income from apps that give you gift cards on US taxes?

Which line on the 1040 form… And is it taxed just like work income?

my main income is SSDI so I have more deductions (mortgage interest, health care, property tax, and a lot of charity this year, etc) than taxable income.

if I have $1000 in work/gift card income… But have $10,000 in deductions will I pay any tax on the gift cards (ie social security)?

with the self employment work income i usually only pay the social security part of the tax, not the actual 'income tax' that goes toward various other government expenses.

(I know there is more involved then just income tax/SS tax… But I am simplifying the details)
Added (1). so essentially it is listed as self employment, not as a prize? Or is there no difference on the way self employment and a prize is taxed

What job should I go to school for? Is what I'm interested an option?

I am a freshman in high school and I decided last year that what I want to do is start a school that I believe will teach students useful skills (what taxes and mortgages are, how to be better at public speaking, other useful things to know etc.) and will let them pursue their interests instead of be stuck in a boring room for 7 hours a day. Is this possible? Could I make money doing this? I have not been pursuing it because I am not sure it is realistic, but is it? I am also interested in cats and horses, cooking, writing (editing job?), and interior design, but I have always considered these backups. Can I start a school? If the landlord hasn t been paying the mortgage, can I get out of my lease early?

I am renting a home in Michigan and the landlord has not been paying on the mortgage. On top of that I was denied renters insurance from the insurance company because of repairs that need to be made that the landlord will not make.

Now, I ve been receiving notices pinned to my door that the house is in foreclosure and will be sold 3 weeks from today. My lease isn t up until April 2016 but I am in a situation where the house has enough problems that I can t use hot water in the sink or even be in the house because of mold they keep denying.

Pope Francis. Do you agree with his views on Climate Change and Environment?

In his encyclical Laudato Si he states the following which is interesting.

(I)Human beings have a Social Mortgage to the Earth.
-"The environment is part of a logic of receptivity. It is on loan to each generation, which must then hand it on to the next”(Laudato Si)
-So like a loan for a House, our ownership of the House depends on how responsible we are in maintaining it. It is similar with our ability to survive on the planet as a species

(II)Western countries owe a social and ecological debt to the Global South
-"Today, however, we have to realize that a true ecological approach always becomes a social approach; it must integrate questions of justice in debates on the environment, so as to hear both the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor"(Laudato Si)
-A Social Debt because their capitalist economies were built off the backs of the global south. Ecological Debt because though the problems of Climate Change find their origin in the Industrialization of the 19th century, the effects are felt by the Global South

He states an "intergenerational solidarity" is needed

"Let us not only keep the poor of the future in mind, but also today’s poor, whose life on this earth is brief and who cannot keep on waiting. Hence, “in addition to a fairer sense of intergenerational solidarity there is also an urgent moral need for a renewed sense of intragenerational solidarity”(Laudato Si)

Am I getting screwed at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage?

I went to Wells Fargo two months ago for a home loan. I was preapproved and now I'm just waiting to close. I have a fiancé, and yes we live together. I requested that my fiancé not play any part in the purchase of the house, and I was told by the mortgage advisor that he can do that no issues. We had a set closing date of August 27, and I was told that they can be ready by this date. By the week of closing my mortgage advisor calls me saying I'm approved but he needs my fiancé's income and tax information. I was furious that not only did he lie to me in the beginning, but he decided to do this the week of closing. Needless to say we didn't close that week
Added (1). Every time I would hand in paperwork I would ask him if it's what he needs, he would say, "Yes". Two days later he would contact me saying it's not exactly what he needs; this was like clock work. The following week we didn't close because the bank screwed up my tax forms to the IRS, the week after they screwed up the tax forms for my fiancé.
Added (2). These people are horribly incompetent, and I feel cheated because I had to pay the $500 appraisal fee already and they have had several weeks to close but they keep screwing something up. It's gotten to the point now where my realtor can't even contact them and get a straight answer, and I can't either. I ask a question about a form being processed because it was screw up.
Added (3). I received an autoreply from one of the loan officers email that he's out of office till the following week, when I ask my mortgage advisor if this means the paperwork won't be sent in until the following week, my email was ignored. The seller almost terminated because of this bulls*it, now we are renting the house and paying the sellers mortgage till the people we're working with get their **** together.

Does anyone have any advice?

So I am thinking of paying the $20,000 towards my principal to help remove the PMI on my mortgage and reduce the interest i am paying on my monthly mortgage. Since i am trying to sell the house, is it worth investing the $20,000 toward the principal?

What to do if there's no hope? I'm so broke?

I was made redundant four years ago and have had many jobs since - temp and now mostly zero hours.

Hence I couldn't get a mortgage and wifey really wanted to buy a house. So, I borrowed lots of money from friends & family. All were happy to give as I have lent them money at times and have always worked.

I got the our first house. The builder wrecked the house and now I have no money left to fix the house. Council tax say that I'm not eligible to any discounts and want money that I don't have.
My employers keep cancelling jobs last minutes which is costing me.

I tried signing on but was turned down - something to do with me having a job as I'm on zero hours.

I'm going to end up behind on rent payments soon if i can't get out of this pickle.

What do I do?
Why won't council/government understand?
I've always paid taxes, except for when employers have refused to pay me.

First time hope buyer, help?!

Okay, so this is kind of complicated and everything i search online sends me in circle so I am hoping to get some help here.

My fiancé and I have decided it is time to make the step to purchase our first home. When we first spoke with the lady at the bank she said everything looked great we could get a usda loan, and gave us a price point, and even put us in touch with a realtor agent. After months of looking at house after house we finally found "the one", and it was even below our budget. So we go in to the bank to make an offer on the home and the same lady tells us that something came up and my fiancés credit history is not long enough fro us to receive the loan despite his 765 credit score. This was never mentioned before. Now we have gotten our hopes up and are looking into our other option. I know there is a fha loan, but I really need the details on it because as I mentioned before everything I find online send me in circles. We are both first time home buyers so any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

How much do new Frito lay workers make an hour?

I was told its $12. But perhaps somebody who works there or knows somebody can give me their input. There is a Frito not very far from where I live and I am 18. I figure with $12 an hour I can pay off a 2014 mustang v6 with car insurance easily and have over $1000 left over every month to do whatever I want with. Considering I live with my family and we are the type of family that lives together that would make me rather rich! I could easily rent or pay off mortgage for my own house given that it's not a mansion. And still have enough for food! I mean $12 an hour would do wonders for me. A new mustang and since I won't be moving out I have so much money left over for whatever I want. Tell me adults? Why does life sound so easy to me? $12 an hour! Come on there's so much I could do with that. And I could pick up the ladies with that kind of car I mean lets be honest:)
Added (1). Under my calculations $12 an hour would allow me to make a down payment for a 2014-2015 mustang after 6 months at most considering Id have to assert myself in the job for a loan and I could pay off the average $240 a month for a mustang v6 along with insurance for my age is about $140 a month that would make it 4k a year for the whole package and that would leave a lot of extra money considering Id make 24k a year with $12 and hour and I don't have to pay for Internet, electricity or water!

Why don t I want sex with my husband?

I have posted this before but got one answer. I am 23 years old living in our own house with my husband who is 23 as well. We have a two-year old and a 2 month old that I stay home with and take care of while my bf works. Although he works i have money saved up that I use to pay majority of our bills my husband is in charge of our insurance and thats it, i pay mortgage, car payments and everything else. Every day at night he tries having sex with me, and automatically i turn him down, he gets frustrated and wants me to go down on him and i hate doing it because he tries touching me and i just don t want to be touched. I don t want sex and i have no idea why, before we had kids i wanted sex just as much if not more than him. He doesn t help me with the kids and has never got up for any night time feedings when the kids were newborns. I feel like seeing a therapist to figure out why my sex drive is gone.

Do Financial Advisors receive benefits from the company the work for?

I am really confused how financial advisors get paid and what they have to pay for. I know they receive commission for the services and financial products they sell but some told me they are paid by salary and commission. When I was interning for an advisor at UBS, I found out my salary was coming out of her pocket. I always thought financial advisors were kind of like real estate agents in terms of compensation but it's actually more confusing. I know UBS provides an expense account for their financial advisors to use. Do they get other perks like discount on trading fees or mortgage rates. UBS sells mortgage rates so I wonder if employees get discount rates.

Should I buy a condo or a house?

I graduated college a year ago and have lived with my parents since and saved every penny of my salary at my new job so I have enough to make a deposit for a mortgage up to $250k. I was thinking of either buying a luxury condo in the city center which is where I work and where all the night life is or I can buy a modest house about 20-30 min away in the suburbs. I know that with a house I don't have to pay a building maintenance fee and I don't have to worry about hauling groceries up 20 stories but with a house you have to maintain a yard and the electric bill might be higher and then I have to commute much further which means I have to spend more on gas etc… So I'm not sure what to do. Since I'm single and I don't really want to be in a serious relationship right now I was thinking of buying a condo now and when I'm ready to settle down and start a family I can move out into a house in the suburbs. What do you think I should do?

Should I feel this way with my husband?

I love my husband. We have had our ups and downs When we met, we were both broke. Then his mom died and he inherited millions. He changed and likes the finer things in life. I am still a really simple person. I would be okay with making 24,000 a year and living in that shitty apartment we has 9 years ago.

But my husband always gets upset when I talk about things I want to do like travel, get in shape and today he said to me "don't you want to make money, and actually pay some bills?".

I don't make enough to even cover one fourth our mortgage. He chose to move us into a house, get really nice cars and things that he knew I couldn't afford.

But Now i just feel like complete ****. I feel like maybe he would be better off with a woman who is on his financial level because I can't do the things he likes and I don't have the same money motivation he does. He's made a lot of money off his investments from the money he inherited.

And when we fight, he always throws the money in my face. I just feel really bad, like maybe if I got a second job it would make him feel better but then I make maybe 40000 in a year?

I don't know how to talk to him about this? Because it hurts my feelings and I just feel like ****, because I don't make anywhere near what he does. I make enough to survive and live in a small appartment not the home we live in. Any help on how to talk to him about this?
Added (1). I want him to be happy with me and the money I make. I don't think I'll ever make millions and he said my lack of motivation to want to be wealthy is what bothers him. My lack of motivation to make money. Money doesn't make me happy, being in nature makes me happy. Going tot he gym makes me really happy. Reading a book makes me really happy. I'm just a simple person and he use to be to. We were both broke working hard to live together and survive but then it changed.
Added (2). I have a job lol BTW. I am a makeup artist and have been for 11 years. I love what I do.
Added (3). I also work a retail job doing makeup and have been doing that for 2 years and prior to that I did telemarketing for 5 years.
Added (4). So I have never not worked a day in my life. I've even worked 3 jobs when I first met my husband. I then made enough to cut it down to two jobs.

Is it reasonable to require to have a lot of cash in order to see a condo in an adult community 55+ for sale?

My parents are interested in purchasing a condo in an adult community 55 and older in Florida. The agent told them that they need to have enough cash to pay for it in full in order for them to see the property. That sounds strange to me, as I thought as long as one could get the money somewhere such as bank loan, that would be sufficient. Does anyone know if there is such requirement in some places or certain situations?

Should we let the bank foreclose on our house?

We made a bad financial decision in buying our house. We were trying to help out family and got caught up. Our mortgage payments are very high, and no one will refinance for us at a longer term because the house isn't worth what we paid for it. Essentially, we're under water. The house has the potential to be worth double what we paid for it, but we are spending so much on just the mortgage payments that we can't afford to do any repairs. I also tried getting a construction loan to no avail. At this point, we are stuck here just scraping by.

Do you think I will be able to qualify for a mortgage?

Here is my issue. I want to purchase a condo. I plan to put 20 percent down. I currently make about $55,000 per year. I have lived with my parents up until now so I have had low expenses. I have already paid off one car loan and am paying off another one now. I have a good credit score. I have a lot of money saved, so even after I make a down payment and after closing costs and buying furniture and moving costs, I should still have about $25K in the bank, so I won't be living paycheck to paycheck. Here is the only problem. I have only been at my current job for about a year. I was out of work for about 7 months before that. I was at my previous employer only about a year and 4 months and the company wasn't doing well so I was laid off. I was at my employer before that about 4 years. My boss at my current employer, where I have been for about a year, said he would be willing to write a letter to the bank on my behalf attesting that I am gainfully employed and well thought of at the company and he anticipates me being employed here for the forseeable future. Do you think I will be able to get a mortgage with my situation?

In divorce I received the house, both equity and debt. I made the joint mortgage payments (4months) until I could get the loan refinanced into my sole name. How to get a mortgage for a house without a co-signer in this situation?

I got my bachelors degree in history and American Studies which is for getting a government job, corporate job or pre law.

I was hoping to a get a job right out of college but I graduated during the big economic situation.

A guy told me they were given mortgages out left and right and then everybody forclosed and that put the country in a situation.

I decided to try teaching unfortunately I was accused of something I didn't do and was not able to be rehired. I am still unsettled about the situation and the lawyer prove my innocence.

Right at the same time I was in a bicycle accident and I had to have major surgery.

I've been doing pickup works since then right now I am deciding on whether or not I should start my own business or become self employed, or try to get a regular job.

The bank said these days you need to make about 40,000 a year to get into a decent house and all the jobs in my area only start out around $10 an hour.

I know I can make much more if I go into business for myself but then it gets harder to get a mortgage.

What do you suggest?

Can you put land in a family trust, and then put manufactured home on it?

My fiancé's grandmother has 96 acres of farm land that has 1 house on it (it has no mortgage). We want to put a manufactured home on the land but are looking at ways to bypass the subdivision process and what not. The overall census in the family is to keep the property in the family name once the grandmother passes away. Would it be possible to put the land into a trust now, with our names as well as other family members in there as "trustee, beneficiary, etc", and once it all goes through put a home on the land because our names are now on the trust? This is new to us, and a consult with an attorney is in the future, just trying to get a heads up on what is legal and easiest. Thanks!

Are Jewish Holidays an Excuse for Breach of Contract?

About a week ago, I entered into a contract with someone for the performance of an obligation. It came due on September 14. When it was not performed, I pointed this out to the other person. Her reply was, "I was out of the office on September 11, and September 14 was the Jewish holiday."

I did not even know she was Jewish, and I am wondering what difference does it make? Jewish holidays, unless they fall on Saturday, Sunday, or a legal holiday listed in the statute book, do not excuse contractual performance. It is not worth pursuing, but I am wondering if this sort of arrogance is typical in the Jewish faith, and whether it is accepted practice to use a Jewish holiday as an excuse not to perform a contractual obligation.

If it is, I will keep it mind the next time my mortgage payment falls due on a Jewish holiday and see what the bank thinks of that.

Should all humans be embracing the advancements of technology even though it is destroying the planet?

People love that we have touch screens, dispensers for movies and food, and a TV that can also be a computer among other things. The list is endless. But technology is becoming more of a burden actually, is it not? Consider these:
--a big negative is that humans are losing jobs more and more every year. We went from employing 200 hundred people to assemble things like cars and airplane parts in a factory to outsourcing and replacing humans with technology like robots. That is 200 people who can no longer pay a mortgage, college, or any bills. The numbers for this is millions.
--Another point in this are companies like Uber and Apple. They are investing in self-driving cars and technology that repairs itself. Robots that do surgeries, calculations for businesses, etc. Everything! When the rich have all the money cause their companies made these things, will the rest of us starve in chaos
--Technology also pollutes. We use to live off nature. Now, we have huge oil wells and cars that yes create jobs, but are destroying the environment. We are overpopulated because of technology. If we went back to the old days, everyone had a job and was surviving well.
--Technology like internet are destroying businesses and hurting people. Cyber bullying, bank accounts hacked, identity theft.

WE ARE NOT LIVING BETTER. Life is going to get worse. Our ancestors and their old ways did make the world a better place. How are we gonna survive? The rich are getting rid of us

What is the best way to mortgage a home you plan on living in for 3-5 years?

Also, when I do get a loan (already been pre-approved), what is the best way to pay it off. If I'm only living there for 3 years or so I don't half of my mortgage to go towards the interest of a loan expected to last 30 or 15 years. Should I buy a house, no down payment?

Me and my husband are tired of renting, however we do not have any money saved up to put a down payment on a house. We are currently renting a mobile home with a yard, it's not bad but we want a real home and we want to save money and pay less on rent, we pay about $1,100/month in rent. We pay the bills just fine too. However we have trouble saving up. I have heard that you can purchase a house and get a loan without a down payment. I also know that some mortgage payments can be much less then $1100, so would it be a good idea to purchase a house to help save money?

Although ive sent my info to the lender of my pay stubs and bank statements where lender can see the rental deposits. Now lender is asking for their last 2 pay stubs. Will my land lady continue to sell the property?

My landlady is selling the property and I rent the room, I'm covered under the lease so I'm not worried but I'm just curious.

She had an offer on our house but the FHA wouldn't give the couple a loan because the house needed some work.

I talked to the realtor and he said he doesn't think the roof would have passed, it needs a paint job, some of the soffits were rotten, and I don't know if this is a big deal but the foundation is just the dirt as it's an older home and one of the walls bows out at the bottom.

I'm just curious after finding all this out if she will continue to sell it she is selling it as is.

My friend came out to give her an estimate on the paint job and she didn't seem like she was in a rush to get it done because she was talking about getting one side done at a time.

Also the living room needs a new floor and she's about to start working on it and she said she didn't want to show the house while it was under construction.

I'm getting the vibe that she will take it off the market but I'm still not sure what are you thinking?

I would just ask her but I don't want to seem too nosy

Is my partners ex entitled to half the house?

My partner paid a deposit left by her late father 3 years ago and moved in with her ex they were not married but have a child together. One year after moving in the split up. He made half the payments for the mortgage in those 12 months and no more since. Although he paid nothing towards the house he wants half of the value. If we sell will he get half of the equity to take his name off the mortgage or only the amount he has paid? He is very awkward and quite honestly a pain. We are hoping to move but this is stopping us aas we don't know what he is legally allowed and can't afford a solicitor

Please help

Selling your home. What happens?

i was brought up this question if I wanted to move homes. I don t really know how I feel about it, so I just want to look at it financially. We moved into this home 2-3 years ago, and since we had it, we upgraded the flooring to shiny wood in the whole house, and painted the walls. Does this increase how much the house costs? What happens when you move out of a house? Does it ruin credit? Do you lose money selling the house? How does all this work?

$100k gross income with a realistic budget?

For my high school personal finances class, I have to create a realistic budget on a $100k gross income. The assumption is that the person lives in the suburbs of Indiana, is single, no dependents, and has no debt. Also need to know whether this is middle or upper middle class. Is this realistic enough?

401k: $10,000 (annually, pre-taxes)
After-tax income: $5416/mo
Rent/mortgage: $1500/mo
Health insurance: $150/mo
Water/Electric/Gas: $180/mo
Food: $350/mo
Cable/phone: $170/mo
Car payment: $600/mo
Car maintenance: $350/mo
Clothes/grooming: $250/mo
Vacation:$300/mo
Misc: $350/mo
Roth IRA: $416/mo
Total Savings: $800/mo
Added (1). The assumption was that the person *started off* with no debt, and then I just added in a car and house payment because idk… I should probably change that
Added (2). Can someone please review my budget and see whether it's financially responsible or not

Live in a flat and have a mortgage. Only 23 but thinking nows the best time to do something with my life!

I live in a small town near Birmingham but would like to move to Leeds or Sheffield. To do this I'd need to sell my flat. Is it possible and affordable to move there, get some sort of house/flat share (best option) while either doing college course or apprenticeship or am I making it out easier than it sounds?

I'd have no family or friends there so be completely on my own… Anyone done this before or have any advice? Cheers

Husband still pays his half of the mortgage but he's not living in it?

My husband hurt me, so I called cops. He's dealing with mental issues. We haven't been allowed contact for several months, and will continue to not have contact until he completes a program. Likely this will be over in October or early November. Since July, he's kept up his half of the bills, and he has no job. But he still pays using his savings. He's not even allowed near the house. If he wanted a divorce, wouldn't he have forced a sale on the house by now? He keeps paying

Changing names on house deed with mortgage, how?

Hi,
I have a house and mortgage under me and my mum's name.
I'd like to transfer ownership and mortgage of the house from ''me and my mum'' to ''me and my husband''.
How is this done? I know the mortgage part will be with the bank, but what about the house part?
After doing a bit of research, I'm still none the wiser, some say it involves solicitors, some say it doesn't, some say you go straight to downloading forms from the land registry website, some say you need the bank's approval first… VERY confused.

Determine the financial net worth based on the given?

From the following information determine the financial net worth:

-Checking account balance $ 1,000
-Value of stocks & bonds $ 50,000
-Market value of house $ 400,000
-Current value of car $ 15,000
-Home mortgage balance $ 350,000
-Car loan balance $ 5,000
-Current credit card balance $ 15,000
-Monthly income $ 5,000
-Monthly expenses $ 3,500

P.S. Apparently, the correct answer is a net worth of $96,000. How? I can't seem to figure this out after I've calculated all my assets with the debts subtracted.

Basically, what are the assets and what are the debts?

Will we get approved for a FHA loan?

My girlfriend(21) and I(19) are looking to buy a four-plex apartment building when the lease on our apartment is up in April. When April comes around I will have the same job for about 8 months and she will have had the same job for about 11 months. She has not had a job gap more than one month over the past two years, and I didn't have a job this summer. We are also full time college students. Her credit score is about 720 and mine is about 620, but we are both still working on it. I have $10,000 that I would like to put towards a down payment and around April she'll have 6-8000 to put down. We hope to buy this apartment building for $141000, making our loan to be about $125000 making our mortgage $590 a month plus fees and taxes making it about $960 a month in payments. Our current rent is $800 and combined we make about $2000 monthly, plus the apartments will be bringing $1500, so we think this place is in our price range. Our main concern about getting this new place is our job history. Will we get approved for an FHA loan on this place ourselves with our job history and all the other factors? Or will we have to get a co-borrower/co-signer? How does that work? Would he/she be on the deed? What would their responsibilities be?

My landlord gave me a letter to vecate in 60 days?

I have been living at this place a few years now and my lardlord decided to sell the property before the bank claims it from him because he is not paying the mortgage.
we spoke about it and he said we would begin a month to month lease and hopefully I will be able to continue renting from the new owners.
But for the last 9 months he hasn't fixed anything on the property so I informed him that I would withhold $200 from him to fix stuff on the property he asked me to hold out on get anyone to fix anything let him see what he can do first. Nothing was ever done and don't have a working fridge now because the breaker started tripping off and he told me that he was not going to replace it
I pay my rent and I owe nothing but my landlord became very upset by my withholding the $200 from him and presented me with 2 letters asking me to cease & desist from over loading the electrical system and the other letter informed me that I had 60 days to vacate the premises. I became very upset by this turn of event
1 because the letter to cease and desist from over loading the electrical system when he had not brought in a electrician to find out what was causing the problem was crazy and 2 the letter to vacate because I would not give him the $200 because he would not replace me fridge. But I agreed to vacate
Now he is telling me that I still have to pay him rent
My question is Do I still have to pay him rent after he has given me notice to vacate the property?
Thank you for your response
