Me and by boyfriend have brought a flat by mortgage we're nearly at completion.

In the listing it says it has new boiler but nothing about y is having to pay additional costs for it.
Everyone is saying we shouldn't be paying that

My ex filed bankruptcy and is on the home loan what are my options?

My ex is on the mortgage; however, he does not financially contribute to the household. Back in 2017, he stopped paying the mortgage as we agreed upon (as I don't collect child support/alimony), for 10 months. We were referred to foreclosure. He then filed Chapter 13 Bankruptcy and I was protected by Automatic Stay. Since, I have made all monthly mortgage payments on time. I have made payments on time for over a year.

Now, the chapter 13 Bankruptcy has been dismissed. I'm no longer covered by the automatic stay of the bankruptcy. I'm able to afford my monthly mortgage; however, I can't afford the 30k in arrears. I was denied a loan modification. Am I able to refinance under solely my name? What are my options to keep the home?

What will happen to my mom's home/mortgage when my dad dies?

My dad is terminally ill and has a few months left to live. My mom is trying to get things in order. He does not have a will. She thought her name was on the mortgage, but the mortgage company told her that when the original lender merged with another bank her name was removed from the mortgage. Odd, right? Her name is on the land they purchased first and that is paid off. They had a prefab home put on the property. What is going to happen to the house when he dies? Not sure she will be able to afford the mortgage and keep up the home when he's gone. She might have to sell eventually.

P.S. She has zero extra income for an attorney, so talking to one is completely out. I'm also financially strapped and can't help her. No other siblings or relatives to help.

To be required for an FHA home loan?

My husband and I are looking into getting a house but we need a home loan.
To be requires for an FHA loan I read you can have poor credit but you need good income. OR you can have low income but poor credit.
In my situation I have good credit but no income, I don't work.
But my husband works and has poor credit. If we get a home loan, would they go by my credit and his income since we're married?

My friend and her son owe on a mortgage for a house which they deeded to me. I make timely payments. Can he force me to sell?

My best friend took out a second mortgage on her house to pay for her son's lavish wedding. They were facing foreclosure because he promised t pay but didn't. They agreed that she should walk away and deeded the property to me. In months I had tenants and was making money. I paid her a nice monthly sum. I felt he was entitled to nothing since he was part of the original problem. He now wants to sell to "get his name off the loan" which I always pay on time. If I sell his mom loses her monthly check. I asked her to discuss it with him. He basically doesn't care, saying he and wife need the money. (Crazy right?) I want to continue as owner, since both he and his mom are on fixed incomes and rely on the check each month. Can he force the sale simply because the mortgage is in his name? (he took his mom off)

Should I buy a home and leave it to my mother if I plan on moving?

I want to buy a home in the state I'm in and live there for 3 years and then I plan on moving. But my mom can't work and basically depends on me. So I wanted to get this as a starter home and then move and let her live there. Or would it be tough to buy another home in 3 years if I have that mortgage open and my mom living there? Thanks

What can I do about a house that was resold by my mortgage company while being displaced and disabled?

I was considered disable and critically ill during the time I experienced displacement from a natural disaster. While beind displaced, I attempted to pay mortgage payments to the company at the time but the mortgage increased without warning. Living in another state and keeping up with the expenses there and the status of my failing health one diagnosis after another I was unable to keep up. My home which was built in 1963 was sold without my knowledge. Presently, it is unrecognizable renovated, bricks are repainted and it is falsely documented as being built in 2013. Is there something I can do about this? Although many years have passed. Should I have received more help or support in resolving this issue, given my situation? Do I have legal grounds to sue?

How do low earners afford to have children?

I'm 27 with my partner for 5 years and thinking of starting a family in the next 2 years but I'm worried if I can financially afford it.

I have a degree but have done low wage jobs and am currently in a support worker type role earning nearly min wage partner similar situation and also supports child from previous marriage so he is financially worse then me.

Our housing costs are cheap (council) 1 bed flat and we live in a very cheap area.

If we moved where there's better jobs our housing would triple - and childcare costs would make it way harder - where we live there's barely any good jobs but I have family support.

We could also buy and finish the mortgage on our flat in 5 years so we could live mortgage free (but cramped!)

If we were to have a child I'd work 2-3 days per week, partner full time obvs. But it still doesn't seem enough to even survive. How do other low income parents manage?

I'm in uk so no medical expenses/insurance needed.

Needing advice about a process to sell my house and get my ex boyfriend out?

So I own a house with my boyfriend… Who is now my ex. And we have pushed to the problem where the situation can't be resolved sanely between the two of us and need to Partition through the court.

I know we'd be required to file a lawsuit to have the house partitioned and my ex-boyfriend would be required to sell the house and divide the funds equally and the repayment of the mortgage loan and closing cost.

Also the fact that the court procedure is expensive. And would be required to pay an advancement to your attorney once your case has been accepted by an attorney.

But I would like someone to tell me how much this would cast us both. What he has to do and myself in order to get our house back on the market and off to our new lives and what would happen after this goes threw… And how long this process will take.

Why are people never truly happy for you when you win money?

They act fake, like they are happy and say they are happy for you but then they start hinting around subtly about things they need to pay for, or directly ask you for money. If you don't give it to them, they get mad at you and try to guilt trip you.

My big sister recently won $200,000in the lottery. My brother said he was so happy for her then he cussed her and threatened to sue her for some money if she didn't pay for the mortgage on his new house. It would cost her $85,000 to pay for that… $200,000 isn't some large sum of money. It will go quick. I think my brother and other people are so wrong… My big sister cried because people are getting mad at her for not giving them money.

I was just introduced to a strategy called velocity banking and I would like to know more about it?

For example, my car payments are $304.14 and my line of credit it $255 . Could I put that on my card and just pay it off before the due date or would that max out my card? I don't have a mortgage or anything like that, just a car I'm financing. Also my phone service is not a big company like Verizon or At&t, I don't know how I could quickly increase my line of credit in this situation. Could I just put my whole paycheck on my credit card? I'm really trying to build credit and increase my line of credit quickly anything helps, serious answers only please.

Help me solve this excel problem?

In cell B11, create a formula using the PV function to determine the outstanding balance of the campground mortgage at the end of the current year using the parameters below:

a. For the rate parameter, use the value in cell B5 (the yearly interest rate of the mortgage) divided by 12.
b. For the nper parameter, subtract the value in cell B10 (the current year of the mortgage) from the value in cell B6 (the total number of years of the mortgage), and multiply that by 12.
c. For the pmt parameter, use the value in cell B7 (the monthly payments), putting a negative sign before this value to make the outcome of the PV function positive.
Every time I enter this formula it gives me an error:
=PV(B5/12)B10*12-B7

Am I just being an ungrateful biarch or do I have good reason to be angry?

Hubby and I designed a house which is 240 sq meters. Four beds 2 bathrooms and all the rest of it. It cost $12000 for the plans to be drawn up and we were ready to build. At the stage before the build, before we had broken any ground I had a change of heart about the big house big mortgage and asked my hubby if we could please amend the plans to make our house smaller and cheaper. He said no. I begged him to change the house to a smaller more economic one but he said we've already spent to much on the plans so he will not change anything. Now we're building a great big house with a $300000 dollar mortgage. We will be in debt for 20 more years. Were both over 40 and I'm miserable and unable to be really happy about it because I wish we had off just built a smaller less expensive house. When I remind him that I didn't want this big house he blames me for wanting the house big in the first place. Am I being negative and ungrateful?

In cell B8, create a formula without using a function that determines the total interest associated with the mortgage. First, multiply the value in cell B6 (the number of terms) by the value in cell B7 (the number of monthly payments) and by 12 (to convert the yearly terms to monthly terms), and then subtract the value in cell B4 (the total loan amount). Is it wrong to ask this of my sister?

My father passed away several years ago and according to his will, his girlfriend was allowed to continue to live in the house until it was sold or she moved out. The house technically belongs to me and my sisters since he passed away. One of my sisters and her boyfriend want to purchase the house now. Also in my fathers will his girlfriend was to get $60,000 from the sale of the house and his four children would split the rest. My sister and her boyfriend came up with a plan to give my father's girlfriend her money after my sisters boyfriend sells his house. From that point my sister and her boyfriend would live in a house and they would put $3000 away into an escrow account every month. At the end of four years there would be enough money to pay off the other three siblings. Is it wrong to not feel comfortable doing this because my father's girlfriend is getting her money right up front and we have to wait four years? She claims it is going to be sort of a rent to own situation and a lawyer will draw up a contract. She says there's no way we won't get our money even if they decide to break up. We would just sell the house and get our money that way. Is it wrong to ask my sister to maybe take out a loan or a mortgage so all of us can get paid off immediately?

What can I do with a yard that grows tall weeds and I can't keep up with?

I have 2 backyards, which is nice. I dream of being able to grow lots of flowers in them, but my health is bad right now, so I'm barely able to just keep up with the front lawn and 1 backyard by cutting the grass. It takes me a few days to cut it.

There's a second yard behind my fence that is pretty large. I think about 50 feet by 50 feet.

It grows really tall weeds. I was unable to cut it, so I had to pay someone to do it and I can't afford that most times.

Is there something that I can do with it, that could keep tall weeds away, and that would be very low maintenence? My neighbor on one side, even though he can't see that yard (because of my tall fence), he peeks in thru the door (I see it open sometimes and he has mentioned it to my other neighbors).

Any ideas on what I can do? I can't sell the place because my mortgage is high and I'd be homeless.

Why is it taking so long to complete on our first house?

Hi, so me and my partner have been in the process of buying our first house since January. We live in the UK and viewed the property back in January it is now 7th of June as I ask this. We've had our offer accepted, sent off deposit and payed all solicitors fees. We then got told that there will be completion on notice after the solicitors rang and confirmed exchange of contracts two weeks ago. The sellers are waiting for their new build to be finished and told us when viewing the property that they can move out before their new place is built to one of their parents until their place is finished. So now we're ready to complete everything is done our end and we still have no completion date. We popped into the estate agents and they have said it could take 6-8 weeks to complete which is very frustrating as we were under the impression the sellers were moving out for us to move in. I hope someone can help with this as I'm stressed thinking they're going to keep delaying us I've took out house insurance and won't be living there yet so whatever happens there? I also don't want it to be pushed back and our mortgage offer expire why couldn't the estate agents and solicitors tell us this before we wouldn't have released our money until closer to completion.

Mortgages and gifting deposits- what can I do?

So have a mortgage with Halifax, but may want to put mother on the mortgage as shell likely live in the house in the winter months when I'm away. Issue is she gifted me part of a deposit some two years ago (£20,000). How do I get around this? Do I simply return the £20,000 back to her? Does putting her on the mortgage nullify the signed letter that she would have no interest in? What can I do? Don't want to be doing anything illegal!
