How to not feel jealous and angry at people who 'have it together' when i don't?

I go to the gym 3 times a week to swim, to keep fit, lose weight and keep on top of my health… I have mental health problems -ptsd and a personality disorder and i try hard to give the impression i'm in control, confident and know what i'm doing… But its a real struggle and effort… And often i think people perceive that 'i'm all over the place' and ' don't have it together ' in my mind… Or are 'out of control'.

and it breaks my heart to think people can see that, as i try to cover my psychological problems up.

but when i'm at the gym i see other men who appear to have it all together, and appear to be naturally confident, happy and in control… And that makes me feel really inadequate, inferior and angry… Because i imagine their lives are worlds apart from mine… They have wives, kids, house mortgage etc… Because i want that too.

i was reminded that these people i see at the gym probably haven't had my life or had my struggles to put up with… Thats why they look confident, happy and effortlessly in control… But i still feel angry about it.

in comparison i'm a man who lives alone in a flat, live on benefits, never found adult relationships, had a hard life… Have difficult psychological problems… That is why i find it difficult to be in control in public.

what do you think?

UGRENT! My home is being held in a sheriff s auction in one week, is there any possible way I could prevent this?

I had gone on vacation to come home to a three day notice of my water to be shut off and it was dated the day before I came home but the water had already been turned off. They re saying I owe far more than I do. My situation is fairly bad I d say as since my husband passed away seven years ago I haven't payed a single mortgage payement. This home is all I have. When I had asked to have a copy of the original documents I had signed for my mortgage they couldn t provide one. They said it wasn't in they re system. So I don't understand how they could be auctioning my home if they re documents aren t accurate. I Don't have much money to deal with all this. L need answers quickly. Is there anything I could do in a single week before the auction.

Mortgage- is down payment additional to what the bank gives me?

If I tell the bank I can put a down payment of $100k and then the bank approves me for $500k mortgage, do I now qualify to apply for a $600k house? Or did the bank only give me $400k and now the $500k they gave me includes the $100k said I could put down?

Thanks

For sale would fail inspection = no mortgage?

Property was not offered for sale "as is."
The seller was convinced it would not pass inspection by a contractor who obviously wanted a job doing the repairs.

They said no bank would give a loan on a house that failed inspection.
Can't the buyer who wants the home as is, get the repairs done at their cost and then able to get a mortgage?

Plaintiff high bidder Master in Equity sales?

The county auctions are once a month. On one the judgement was $83,560. The results of the auctions are posted on the county site a few days later. That particular one did not end up selling to the bank who was represented by a lawyer and the lawyer bids up to the highest price that the bank approves. This one the high bidder was the plaintiff who won the auction for $72,500. What do these results mean? Does the owner (who was foreclosed on because they were behind on their mortgage payments) retain the home and that $72.500 is refinanced by the bank. Thus bank gave up the difference in the judgement and plaintiff bid which was $11,060.

Tax transcripts for mortgage application?

First time homebuyers here! Husband and I are applying for a mortgage and our broker told us via email at the end of the day today that our tax transcript request was rejected because the addresses don't match. In 2016 and 2017 we lived at the same address but a few month ago moved with family until we found a house so our current address is different, but the current address is what we used on the application. She asked for our previous address and that was it. Anyone know if this is going to cause a hold up for getting our loan approved? Or is it a relatively easy fix?

Thanks in advance!

How can I write a valid letter deed to get notarized?

I recently got a divorce in July 2018. My ex husband and I agreed that I become the sole owner of the home in return of a split of the equity after refinancing and removing his name off the title.
However, I was not approved for the loan on my own at this moment. Because I'm a full-time student, and have been working part-time for the past year, and I'm about
$800(a month) short from the requirements to qualify for the loan on my own. I needed a co-signer, and my brother offered to co-sign for me. I have trust issues I have been screwed over many times. I worry that he will turn his back on me and try to take my home. (although he promises he wouldn't do that, because he has no interest in having ownership of my home) I worry because he is currently living with me and he brought his girlfriend along. I'm already getting screwed as far as bills. Currently my brother is giving me 1/2 of the mortgage payment a month and I'm responsible for the other half including all the utilities, WiFi etc and his girlfriend doesn't pay a dime. I feel that it's unfair because they are 2 and I'm only 1. I worry that he will try to screw me later. How can I write a deed saying he agreed only to help me for financial purposes but has no interest in having ownership of my home, and that I plan on refinancing and getting him removed as soon as I go back to working full-time and I'm eligible to do so? Is there a special way or can I just write it, and get it notarized?

Should we buy a family house at the top of our budget before Brexit or look at a do'er upper? Or rent for a while after selling my home?

I own a 2 bed terrace (no mortgage on, just me on the deeds) valued at just shy of 140k (offer accepted on my house). We've had an offer accepted at just over 260k on a house which is right at the top of our budget.

Lack of parking is the main issue currently.

I'm concerned about going to the top of our budget (nearly are) when an offer we've put in on a house has been accepted at just over 260k and the market could collapse.

The thing with the house we like is that it needs very little work doing to it as it has been refurbished in the last two years (property developer) and this person bought it just under 170k 2 years ago.

You're now thinking why don't I just look for a do'er upper? I'd love to but I'm due to start a full time uni course with work next week and will be working full time (shift work days & nights) as well as being a dad etc so I will have very little time to develop a property for the next year.

Should we just take the plunge on a house that we like?

Or should we sell and move into rented for a short period to see what happens with property prices and interest rates?

I very much doubt property prices will go up. More likely stay the same or potentially collapse!

The MSE said on tv tonight "It's cheap to borrow money on a mortgage at nearly all time lows at the minute" Is that just enticing us to borrow a lot more money on a product (house in this case) that could potentially devalue rapidly come Brexit day?

How acceptable is it to really live with parents in Honolulu?

I grew up in Hawaii and was very fortunate to come from a well off family. My father passed away but made sure no mortgages were left on all his properties so my mother wouldn't have to worry. My Mom hasn't worked for over a decade and was able to make ends meet with the rental income from the other properties my father owned. I'm in my late 20s now and work in banking and trust me I don't make the big bucks I only make $16 an hour. I currently live in my family's 5 bedroom house but it's only me and my Mom since my sister moved to the mainland for school and my father passed away. I contribute paying for electricity and water but I still feel embarrassed about my situation. I'm still single so it would be hard to live on my own with a $16 an hour salary.

Friends said I'm a push over and too easily persuaded?

I'm really nice to people, I can't help it but it's how I've been raised. I'm in the position where I own my house and have a lot of disposable income because I don't pay rent or a mortgage. I've spent thousands on friends/family and it's caused a lot of problems.

My brother doesn't speak to me anymore and has convinced my mum and her side not to either. I've lost countless friends who didn't want to repay their debts.

It's really hurting me now, to the point where I question everyone friendship with me. I don't have a lot of friends but the ones I do have don't pay for anything… Especially around me.

Can someone tell me how to man up? Should I just start telling people the truth regardless of how they may feel about it?

Should I apply for First time home buyer programs+grants?

Before you answer it with "DUHH"
please read.

This will be my first time buying a house.

If I apply, will it make my monthly payments (mortgage) any lower?

So right now, the condo I want is $500/month.
I can pay it off every month easily, no question ask and to me, I don't think I need to apply if I can handle it. Maybe it's for those who can't get a house easily?

If it'll lower the fix rate or purchasing the house much easier, sign me up!

I live in PA
Added (1). "Like other grants, the first-time buyer does not hold an obligation to repay the grant. In this respect, it differs from a loan and does not incur debt or interest. As my question says I will have around 500k and want to invest it somehow. I started my home improvement company at 19 and now at 32 i've just had enough but still enjoy working on house's, I would just prefer them to be my own. Anyone have any ideas how best to invest this money?
Not sure if I should buy a house for 500k and do it up and flip it as I have been doing to get to this amount or buy several house's and live in one and rent the others with mortgages of course. The second area I have no knowledge of really but with a baby on the way I don't really want to continue moving.

Just quit my corporate job. Now what?

I'm a 23 year old guy, 1 year as a mortgage loan officer. And now 1 as corporate finance consultant. But I quit last Friday. I decided that my time and freedom was more important to me then spending half my life at a desk doing work that I wasn't genuinely interested in

Anyway, I'm a little sad to be leaving a cool city like NYC, but I have to get ACL surgery.

So my plan is to go back to my parents in Florida, get ACL surgery, and recover there for about 5 months.

Okay, now that you have the set up, here is the question. What should I do with my life once I'm recovered from surgery?

I have about $40k saved and 0 debt.

I'm considering a few options and want to know what you think sounds best. I'm also open to new suggestions.

1) take time off to live and travel in a van while I work on re-sharpening my graphic design skills and trying to get freelance work. (I studied design for a couple years in school and really enjoy it. Also the idea of not throwing away money on rent and living in a space you own completely and have the freedom to go anywhere sounds awesome). I would plan on living and traveling in the van for about a year.

2) use the real estate knowledge I gained during my time as a mortgage loan officer to try to use the money I have saved to start investing in real estate. Either by flipping houses or turning the properties into rental properties.

3. Try out for Navy Officer Candidate school

4. Suggestions

What really happens after your credit card goes to charge off? Anyone been through it? Do you still get sued? Do you still have to pay?

I'm recently married. We're trying to get a house as first time home buyers with fha loan. My wife is a stay at home mom who's credit has gone bad from us missing payments one two of her cards, although she has many more that are in good standing besides those two. We just want to know if anyone has experienced it or gone through it that if you just decide not to pay and let it go to charge offs on amount that's 4,000 and 3,000 will they most likely do it as their loss and not come after us since they will see she is not working and it's her credit card? I know it hurts your credit, her credit is already damaged so we're not worried about that at the moment we just want to know if we can get away with not paying and be able to save all our money to get a house when we're ready.

Do home owners have to pay the full cost of their care (in a nursing home) even if they have left their house to somebody in a will?

I ask this question on behalf of a family member who's mother is now being cared for full time in a privately owned nursing home. The daughter for whom I'm asking this question has special needs and does not know how to go about finding out information or liaising with a solicitor. Her mother had £23000 (approx.) And has paid off the mortgage of her home. The nursing home she is in costs around £520 per week which so far has been paid for with her money. After this money runs out, how will it be paid for? Her daughter is willing to sell the house to pay for her care, but does not know how to go about this. And she is also aware that this house was left to her in her mother s will which was written around 10 years ago. Any advicr would be much appreciated

So I don't spend much of my salary which I earn through full time employment. Will that be a problem if I want to remortgage my house? Can a mobile home be financed/appraised if it's missing HUD tag outside but has data plates inside?

I was pre-approved for a mortgage and I'm starting the home buying process. We made an offer on a home but it a manufactured home. My lender said that the home would need to have a hud tag otherwise I would pay for an appraisal and they would not even be able to appraise it. They also said that it had to be attached to the home. The home has been renovated so the HUD tag on the outside is covered. I'm not sure if the home still has its data plate inside (like in a kitchen cabinet, etc) but the owner was going to bring all of the information about the trailer to the realtor today. Should this suffice? I'm not sure if it is the credit union policy that it have a hud tag (and it be attached) or just something the appraiser would need to look up the home. I just need to know if I could even get an appraisal done without the HUD tag on the outside, provided the data plate is still intact on the inside? I'm new to this and unsure. My lender explained it but I still just don't understand and I just wanted someone else s opinion before I spoke to them again about it.
Thank you!

Will this help me get approved for a lease?

I'm 18 years old and wanted to pay off a lease up front (around $6.5k w/ A-plan from a family member) for a 2018 F-150. My mom is about to buy a house and needs to get approved for a mortgage, so she doesn't want to co-sign for me because she is afraid it might harm her chances of getting approved for the mortage for whatever reason, but she offered to lend me the money i needed and i could just make the monthly payments to her. My sister is willing to co-sign for me but her credit score is around 600 and she won't get approved for the lease, so i was wondering if we would get approved with my sisters bad credit if I paid the lease off up front with the money my mom lends me? Also please do not suggest buying a used car, i have already done that before and with all the repairs and maintenance that comes along with it, i feel like leasing outweighs it. Anyways thanks for reading and i hope you guys can help.

His mortgage runs out next year so he is looking to buy a house with me. I'm self employed but I take in a fair wage (slightly above minimum wage in the UK). He got angry at me today because the houses he wants to move into our completely out of my budget and he wants us to go 50/50 on the new house. He earns 6X what I do so understandably I said that we need to compromise with our budget. He said my low income was embarrassing and asked "when are you going to start earning proper money". I explained I've only been in business for a year and I'm not embarrassed at all about how much I earn. He left for work but how do I approach this topic when I see him? Please help.

Just found out the mortgage on the house I rent is in my landlord s deceased aunt s name and possibly going into foreclosure?

I'm a renter and have lived here for a year and a half. When I rented it the lady said it used to be her aunt s no biggie. Yesterday a guy showed up asking for the aunt saying he s with the mortgage company and left papers with notice of rights to an owner during foreclosure. I contacted my landlord who said it was a mix up with a payment and it's fixed. I know it takes more than one payment to get foreclosure started. I'm mostly worried that the house or mortgage is 8n my landlord s name and now the mortgage company knows the aunt and the one on the mortgage is deceased. How worried should I be and how much time do I have if this goes bad?

Using student loan to move out?

Hello I'm in my foundation year at university and I'm moving into my friends spare bedroom in her new home she has gotten. She is hardly charging me to stay with her as we're both students and we have come up with an agreement. I have applied for a basic minimum student loan this year due to my family income being rather large however when I move home the income will be a lot smaller so I will get a much higher loan. I'm smart when it comes to saving money and tend to save rather well. So i was thinking over the next 3 years of uni I was considering saving a fair chunk of my student loan each year and just mostly try to live on the money I earn working at my current job on the side. I was thinking of using my saved student loan to either in two or so years rent my own place or even possibly save it and put it towards a mortgage when I'm ready to buy my own home? I haven't seen any posts when googling to see if anyone else has asked this question or done this but do you guys think its a good idea? Thank you!

Would you stay in a job that you hate for the money?

I'm currently a Production Supervisor. I'm guaranteed to get promoted to the next level which is an Assistant Plant Manager. One day, I might get promoted to the Plant Manager position which is above Assistant Plant Manager. The company is desperate.

I can't stand the job that I'm in. I want an office based job.

If I became an Assistant Plant Manager, which is office based, I would need to relocate. I want to get married before I relocate. I currently rent rooms in my house that I own so relocation would not be worth it unless I was married. My cost of housing would be higher since my room renters pay for my mortgage. I'd have more responsibility, fewer connections (especially family), and I would have to learn a new geographical area if I became promoted and relocated now. It would not be worth it unless I did it with someone by my side (I.e. A wife).

A majority of the people in my position in the past did not relocate for a promotion.

Also, I have a 14 year old criminal record so my choices are limited in terms of working for alternative companies in different positions (I'd need to do a background check every time I apply for a job).

What would you do?

Can I get a second mortgage?

I currently have £175K left on a mortgage and am paying £617 a month.

My total out goings on everything amount to £1,500 a month and I have £1,600 left to save / do what I like with.

I earn 50K gross a year before any tax ect and I'm in perfect credit and have no financed items such as a car ect.

What's the likelihood of achieving another mortgage for another property at the same time. Looking at a 50K deposit. Would a 200K mortgage seem plausible?

Thanks!
