First day of work social anxiety

I'm a 22 year old girl, presentable in appearance and I can speak well (when I'm not anxious) I have just got my first professional job at an estate agents as a mortgage advisor, which means I have to call customers all day for mortgage problems and surveys etc… I had my first day today and didn't go on the phones yet, I learnt the basics, tomorrow they are going to put me on the phones and listen whilst I interact. Today I was fine at first but towards the middle of the day I got so tired and anxious, it makes it hard to speak clearly. I feel so exhausted when I get anxious and it literally feels as though my eyes are sleepy and heavy and I can't control it and I think it shows on my ace and I look miserable. I'm nervous about hem listening to me call tomorrow as I haven't learnt the script yet. I just wanna be normal help?

What can my landlord do?

My husband kids and I found a house on craigslist in Florida. After living here for a week our neighbor told us our landlords don't own this property and the real landlord (from Texas) were on their way to sell this place. We ended up calling the cops trying to get our money back after a realtor showed up to sell the place. All our landlords have is a yellow piece of paper saying they are renting to own. Things quited down for a bit nobody told us what was really going on but the for sale sign came down. Our landlords said the owners didn't want to go forward with selling this place. 4 months later we had a hurricane and got 2 weeks behind on rent but still were paying $200/week. We called our landlords they said fine but they were out of work as well and needed our money to pay their mortgage for the place they live in and for this one. The next day they left a note in my mailbox while I was home. I don't know why they didn't bring it to the door. It said we had 23 days to move out. Since then they have been pulling in my driveway laying on the horn. My question is can they keep coming here bugging us laying on the horn? And they don't own the place or have a deed what will be the process to get us out

Help with property ownership?

Hi just wondering if anyone can help?, My Father bought my Grans house back in 1995 he bought it with her council discount so the property was in my Grans name, my Dad paid for the house outright so no mortgage or anything, my Dad passed away in 2000 so my Gran automatically got the house with it being in her name my gran recently passed about a year ago and my aunt got everything the house my Dad bought etc am just wondering if I would have any grounds to stand on with my Father buying the house and me and my sister being his only dependents whether we would have any rights to my aunt inheriting and putting the house up forsale what was really my Fathers property?

Where to get additional installment loan to help build credit profile?

I have one installment loan and want another to help build my credit profile. Should I just get another loan at the same institution as the first loan or go somewhere else? I have maybe 5 credit cards with larger balances on them(not maxed) and I simply want to move some of that debt to a loan to help with the revolving, installment, mortgage credit balance stuff. As a side note in addition to the first thought I'm thinking of doing a 4k loan soon to for an attempt at a small business set-up idea I have. So that may be 2 loans I'm thinking about getting soon.
Added (1). Update 1: I must be misunderstanding things from the looks of some of your answers… I'm familiar with M.I.R… (mortgage, installment, and revolving) credit histories. It's my understanding this is what potential lenders look at. If no lenders can see any of those then they may think less of me if I really need the lenders in future. I'm fine with my number of credit cards (not in a bad position in my opinion on those) I had not had a loan in years for credit history until previously.

Is it legal for your mortgage company to look into how much equity you have in your home?

As I'm currently in dispute with my lender who has stated I have a lot of equity in my property. When I questioned this as I said I had never said this, they answered that they had looked at some figures from another lender (why I tried to get a mortgage from last year).

Now is this legal for them to do background checks into my status as I never gave them permission?

Given the details listed below. How do mortgages work, would the banks want to give a mortgage to an ambitious young man with a f/t job?

I just recently got a full-time job with a salary of $28,308. I've had a credit card for nearly 6 full months but I've paid off everything early. I haven't yet checked my credit score… I'm looking at $2,359 per month… Monthly income that is. I'm an ambitious young man, I d like to get a rental property, & rent it out to tenants. My idea is to instead of renting, buy a rental property with a mortgage, in which case it would basically be me renting the place from the bank until the debt is paid off. I d at least be doing something with that money right? The idea is to have not only the monthly income from the f/t job, but also the monthly income from the tenants. The money I get from the tenants set side xyz amount of money for maintenance/repairs, & the rest of that money from the tenants going towards the mortgage. The f/t job is a 4 day work week, so I d have 3 days every week to get things done… The idea is to use those 3 days to take care of anything pertaining to the rental property.

Why do I have to pay Capital Gains Tax?

For the last 5 years I have had to pay tens of thousands of dollars in capital gains tax whilst living just slightly above the poverty line. I own a house in an oil town in saskatchetwan that I was forced to leave due to unemployment. I rent the house out for less than the cost of the mortgage payment, but because I'm collecting a rental income the government charges me capital gains on it. I make less than $30,000 per year. Is there any way to avoid this tax?

Will a student overdraft affect me getting a mortgage?

Whilst I've been studying my OH has saved for a mortgage. This was supposed to be way off, like months until we're in a position to even look. However, circumstances have changed and he wants to put a deposit down this week.

He doesn't know about my overdraft, he's very critical when it comes to money as he's never been in a position where he hasn't had any. Because of this, I haven't told him about the overdraft. No opinions needed. I have started very slowly paying off a little each month (as it's a separate account). I thought it would be settled by the time we were ready.

So, it's a planned interest free overdraft of £1500. I'm fully in this, except I have now paid £250 off over the last two working months. Therefore, I still owe £1250.

I don't use the account at all now except to occasionally transfer money into it when I can.

Will this affect my chances of being accepted for a mortgage?

I'm very worried. Real advice would be appreciated.

Should I buy a house at 23?

I'm 23, and I have great credit. I have a great job and no kids. My goal was to save my money and have my dream house by 30. Well, renting in New Orleans a 600sf for 1600 a month taking most of my income. I came across a house that was 1800sq 3bd2b. Everything is fine only need a little paint and new flooring, and the monthly mortgage would be 340 and I added the homeowners insurance and flood insurance I still come out cheaper. My plan is to eventually rent this house out and it ll pretty much pay for my dream home. What else am I missing when it come to homes and other fees? Would it be a good investment?

Why do relatively high income people vote Labour?

I can understand why people on low incomes would vote Labour. Voting Labour would improve their quality of life. And I can even understand why very rich people might vote Labour. Voting Labour might not improve their quality of life but they have so much money that an extra 5p tax wouldn't actually make a huge difference and they can help out people.

But why would somebody on an income of around £80,000 to £100,000 vote labour. Yes, they're certainly not poor but when you take into account mortgages, perhaps school fees, other expenses. An increase in tax would reduce their quality of life.

Why would they vote labour

If I'm sending money to my friend and he is making all the payments will I not be getting the full benefits to my credit score? Also would that mean that I would not own any equity since none of the payments came from my bank account?

Does this make sense, I'm totally new to home buying so please be brutally honest>?

I'm a 29year old mother who makes about 37k a year with a 6year old and receive nominal child support. Due to my divorce decree I have to have to stay be in a geographically restricted area which has a very high cost of living. I have a very good credit score 802 and I was thinking (this may sound crazy) that I wanted to possibly have a mortgage on a 89k condo. The only issue is that it is a 1 bedroom and about 897 square feet. I don't want to live their permanently, but it would give me some stability. I have only lived in 2 places in the past 9 years but get annoyed with rent increases. In the meantime I would be saving money to maybe put on a house. I was pre-approved for a 160k loan, but want something that is cheap. Is this a bad idea? My son is not with me the entire time, but I still wondering. Thanks for any suggestions.

I'm buying my mothers home from a reverse mortgage. What happens to her if I die? - 1
Added (1). I have lived with my mother for 15 years. She is a widow who has never driven. I have family who have been using her the past years. I want to get the house in my name so this will stop. I have paid her monthly and others are staying here for nothing and making her a wreck. I can't sit by anymore and allow this to happen. Her b/p is much higher also. I will buy the house to keep it in the family. She has lived here for 52 years. This is the reason for the above question.

Should I try for a baby now or wait until I'm more financially stable? Is there ever a right time

I'm currently living at home but have around £6k savings. I recently found out that I have some health issues which could result in infertility in the future. My boyfriend earns £25k a year and I earn £36k. We're keen to try for a baby and continue to save whilst living at home for the duration of the pregnancy so that we may have enough for a mortgage or at least part by part rent. However I'm in a new job so I won't qualify for full pay maternity. I know I could wait but this news about my health has really made me worry.

Do you think we could afford to rent on my partners salary and the statutory sick pay which is around £125 p/w? What would you do? I know our child will be so loved but I don't want to rush in and not be able to give my baby everything it needs.

Should college classes do this?

They should make kids signing up for college take a life 101 class. Like before they can take college classes take something like a prep class. That teaches kids how much money they will make graduating. Where will they live? Is the job competitive? Is the job increasing or decreasing? Then do a comparative to will they be able to pay back loans. And taking out a house mortgage and understanding payments. Like people take out loans go for the cheaper payment a month. It ends up costing more because they pay longer collateral. That and healthy relationships. Or even what makes a good deal for a car. I had to figure this out on my own. It is not fun. Or how to get medical insurance.

Is it better to pay off the mortgage on a rental property?

Say it's a 3.5 percent interest rate and the rent is 400 bucks more than the mortgage payment. Would it be better to pay off the mortgage even though 400 is being made per month? If a minimum of an extra 200 of that 400 is applied to the principal of the house, in lieu of the regular mortgage payment, would I still be better paying it off? In my mind, the additional 200 being paid monthly towards the mortgage seems like free capital.

While over the life of a loan, nearly two thirds to double will be paid on the mortgage (if never paying extra), the additional 200 cuts the principal down much quicker. Not to mention, in an economic crisis, rent does not fluctuate and is less effected, unlike mortgages. I understand the pros of having less debt. However, it seems better that one would have more capital to use for future investments had they not paid the mortgage off. I'm fairly new to real estate investing so if anyone has insight they'd like to share, much appreciated.

I have anxiety about taking up my dads mortgage?

hes about 53, i'm 25.
we got a government home, for 800 per month 2 bedroom home, but with rising food/fuel cost i'm afraid we we'll become homeless.
he said the house is under my name. So i'll get it when he passes on. But i'm afraid i'll lose it, the economy is so tough right now. I haven't secured a proper job in months, i got fired about early this year after 4 years & it still depresses me.
i know my dad is retiring at 60 and for his job being a carpenter, it could be sooner, and his job really takes a toll on his body.
my brother who's 24 doesn't pay anything. At all. My dad constantly give him lectures about contributing to the bills but one day he'll figure it out. My mom is also working to pay the bills, surprsingly she got a job with more money and less hours than me, i still or if i get any job its like 9-10hr jobs mon-sat with minimum wage.

Am I responsible for this bill? It was not covered in my mortgage contract

In 2015, I bought a house in Ottawa, ON. We of course took over the utilities but unknown to us, the water tank was a rental through Reliance. The previous owner paid them directly, not through any utility bill. This was not mentioned on any of the paperwork we signed at closing.

About 10 months later, I contacted Reliance for an unrelated air conditioner issue and the repairman mentioned the tank was probably a rental. I called Reliance to verify and take over any account but there was no current account to take over. I'm presuming they had closed the account at this point due to non-payment but they didn't verify (privacy).

I advised the law office we used to close and they did not have a specific direction considering there was no current account.

Well, the previous owner is now aware of this and they are coming after us for $1400 in fees for not taking over the account.

We're trying to figure out if we're actually liable for this. Thoughts?

Why people are buying mobile homes when they have to pay lot rent?

I was today to a couch help for an acquaintance. She's retired, divorced, and recently bought a home to live for the rest of her life with her 2 doggos and 2 birds (I hate doggos and birds, don't even know what type of them were). I didn't wanted to question her so she don't feel awkward, but, why on earth do people buy these houses? I mean, the house was pretty cool and neat, and probably cheap, but you have to pay the lot rent! The lot rent is slightly smaller, than a mortgage or a rent! Why not buying a real house and pass it on to your children when you die?

How long does my job have to pay me for missing hours?

So this morning I woke up and looked into my bank account at a deposit from my job. And it was $560 less than what it should have been. I get paid commission and they messed up on my sales. I'm off today so I called my direct supervisor and the hr manager and they finally figured it out and said they would pay out the hours on my next check. This is the second time they have done this and it's getting frustrating! This was the check to pay my mortgage and also my daughter bday is on Tuesday so I was really depending on this money. I have savings but its something I don't want to touch unless I absolutely have to, and I shouldn't have to for my companies mistake. Does anyone know if a company can really make you wait another 2 weeks to get the money they owe me? I actually worked an additional 10 hours at my job in that pay period to help them out, and now they are making me wait. Not really sure what the labor laws in Minnesota are, but this is ridiculous!

Using your young child's education fund to pay off dept?

I need opinions and not looking for judgy answers. I'm a single mom with a 5 year old child. Since my child was a baby I've been putting away money each month into an RESP. Right now I'm severely in dept due to unforeseen circumstances for example school fees, daycare fees, increase in mortgage, furnace not working and a huge loan payment due to having to hire a lawyer when my child's other parent took me to court just to name a few. If i were to withdraw the money I have saved for his education I would be able to somewhat eliminate a bit of pressure on this whole dept issue but then the guilt of using my sons education money would forever haunt me. I would indeed plan on paying it all back by the time he is 18 and ready for college but that still doesn't change the fact that I had to use it to get myself out of dept. Have anybody else had to face a decision like this or has anyone else done this before. I'm looking for opinions, suggestions anything that maybe be a useful tip.

What should I do in this 'bad' situation? I need some advice

Hi I'm 21 and live with my mum and sister. After certain arguments and things that have happened previously I really want out. I'm in the application process of renting a small 2 bedroom house with my girlfriend. My dad says I should save up after I have a permanent job and get a mortgage as I work for agencies and aren't guaranteed work every week. My girlfriend also works part time and also gets university loans every couple of months wich could help. I find it stressful and don't want my dad to be annoyed and ratty with me for what we're doing. I don't think he would accept the fact I've never had a permanent job no matter how hard I try, only agency work. I know there's plenty of people out there that live without permanent work but I just fear falling back on rent etc too. I have mixed feelings.

Help! Very elder parent got reverse mortgage in 2008, recently died, senior daughter now faces eviction. Any solutions?

This is the situation for a neighbor woman I'm hoping to help with this problem.

I don't know if the RM was the father's idea, or if he was "sold" on it, or what. I think it was ill-advised.

She has less than a month. Suggestions will be appreciated.

In my position, should I be concerned over a negative entry on my credit report?

I had a $1200 dollar charge that I did not make appear on my capital one card. Capital one rejected my dispute, and I'm going to arbitration with them this week.

If I lose my case, I was thinking of just not paying them.

I'm aware that this will drop my credit score and make it harder to obtain credit, get a loan, and even get a job, and that it will remain on my credit report for the next 7 years.

But here are my reasons why I don't think this will affect me:

1. I'm an author, mostly self-published on Kindle and Nook, and make a middle class living for myself without a traditional job. The negative entry on my credit report won't affect my non-existant job hunting.

2. I inherited a large sum from my Grand Dad and used the money to purchase a modest but nice home outright. That means the negative entry won't affect me in finding housing or obtaining a home loan, and no mortgage payments so no need to worry about refinancing. That ship has sailed and I don't plan on moving in the next 7 years.

3. I just put a down payment on a new Jeep Wrangler and the auto loan has already been granted and the deal with the dealership made. I won't be needing an auto loan in the seven years that the entry will be on my credit report, as the Jeep will easily last me that long.

4. I don't need to apply for other credit cards. I have a United Airlines travel rewards card and an Amazon.com visa card that I use much more often than that old Capital One card, and I pay my balance in full
Added (1). 5. I don't finance luxury items. I purchase basic tvs and use $100 dollar smart phones on month to month, no credit check plans.

What I'm getting at here is I simply can't think of anything I would need to buy on credit in the next 7 years.

Am I wrong to think that an entry from Capital One on my credit report won't mean all that much to me?

Will it affect my life at all?

What is the debt to income rate to get a 400k mortgage?

Hello, I'm looking to buy a home in the next 3 months(Los Angeles,CA). It would be me with a gross income of 3,000 a month with a 771 credit score, my husband with a gross income of $8,000 and a credit score of about 650, my dad with a SSI of $1000 a month. We have two car loans, a total of $18,000. One is a monthly payment of $370, and the other of $220. Credit card dept of $500, with a limit of $5,000. So the total gross monthly income is around $12,000 with monthly payments on debt at around $650. We're first time buyers. I'm wondering what is the amount that we need to lower our debt to in order to qualify for around $400K.

Will I owe back property taxes?

My wife and I closed on our new home on 12/06/16. The property value was calculated based only on the un improved lot value of $7785 (this is a new construction in texas). That equates to roughly $19/mo in taxes.

The value of our home as of 1/1/17 is $236336. We pay the P&I and tax of $19.

Come Jan 1 2018, is the bank going to require us to pay back taxes on the home value as of 1/1/17(roughly $6000) or will the mortgage just increase by $500/mo?

We're prepared for the worst case scenario, but this is our first home and are curious.

Thanks

If you paid off your house, can you use that money to buy a business?

Long story short, my dad passed away 4 years ago but before he did he paid off our $315,853 house ( Zillow esimate value ). Can we use that money by using reverse mortgage or just by selling it to to buy a $500,000 business by putting down $250,000 and financing the rest from the bank? ( My dad was a dry cleaners owner, but sold it before he died. )

Can I own my home quicker if I pay extra on my mortgage each month?

Can I own my home quicker if I pay extra on my mortgage each month?
Added (1). Let's say I get a 30 year, fixed rate mortgage for 70,000 at a 3.875% interest rate and my payment is $350.00 per month. I did the math & at that rate I would have paid $126,000 all in all. If I pay $900.00 per month instead of $350.00 could I pay my house off in 11 years instead of 30?
