Struggling financially - am I underpaid?

I live outside of Philadelphia, PA. I make a little under 40K a year (I’m including my benefits in the overall amount). My husband makes about 60K but works a ton of over-time and that's the only reason he even makes that much, it doesn't allow for a very happy home life. With a child in day care, we are barely paying our bills and are constantly struggling. We have a modest mortgage (at least for this area), $1,300, we live in a small house that we bought as a fixer upper, it’s not like we’re living outside of our means. We don’t even have car payments. My friends and family aren’t the type to discuss money so I have no idea what other people make so I have no idea if I’m underpaid or if everyone’s struggling like this and they just don’t talk about it or what. I have a liberal arts degree and feel like I’m going to have a hard time finding a job with a good pay. I’ve worked at the same place for the past 7 years as an office manager, I'm 30 yrs old. Any advice is appreciated but I really would like to know you make at your job and what you do, if you’re willing to share.
