Should we sell our house and move into an apartment?

So, my husband and I bought our first house about a year ago. He is in the process of finishing up filing a bankruptcy. He quit his job making more money because he was sick of constant harassment even from his boss. He now is working a temp job hoping to be hired permanently but making less money. We feel now we cannot afford to pay our mortgage, all our bills, and to live. We are thinking about selling our house and moving to an apartment even though it would mean a few years before we would be able to buy another house because of his bankruptcy.
