Has anyone dealt with CHIP (Canada Home Income Plan)? Reverse Mortgages?

I'm thinking of using some of the equity of my home. I have no family to will my home and since the house is really all I have I'm thinking of some things I want to do. I'm a senior and have little savings. What do you think of the Reverse Mortgage idea?
