How to get adverse possession in the state of michigan?

I have been looking at a house for 5 years in 2010 it went up for sale for a couple short months then came off the market no one bought it then the mortgage company went under from what I can see it was transferred to another mortgage company but with all my questions no company has answers or information on the home it was winterized last year but still nothing more on it. I want this home but do not know how to get a chance at getting it I have looked up adverse possession but do not quite understand. Is there a form I can fill out and take to the courts to get rights to this home?
