Selling your home. What happens?

i was brought up this question if I wanted to move homes. I don t really know how I feel about it, so I just want to look at it financially. We moved into this home 2-3 years ago, and since we had it, we upgraded the flooring to shiny wood in the whole house, and painted the walls. Does this increase how much the house costs? What happens when you move out of a house? Does it ruin credit? Do you lose money selling the house? How does all this work?
