Added (1). Just started learning about home buying, I was wondering what is the best possible rate in order to pay the least after 30 years. From my previous questions, I learned that over 30 years you can pay double what the house originally costs, which I find ridiculous.

What is the best possible rate out there that can allow me to pay less than 50 percent of what the original mortgage was, or even less. Thanks
